Starting on Wednesday, October 22nd, at Noon, we are adding 'the Unwind' to our Weekly schedule for the Winter Season to give you a chance to work on recovery.

We get it — you push hard at your favorite activities. You know you should be incorporating stretching, mobility, and mindfulness into your routine to prevent injury, recover better on rest days, and lower cortisol levels.

Join Jennifer Greenlaw(500Hr YTT) for ‘the Unwind’, an Active Bodies, Athletic & Weekend Warrior Series designed to strengthen your body and calm your mind. You’ll move through Yoga and foundational Pilates sequences focused on injury prevention, fascia connection, and pelvic alignment — helping you build stability, improve range of motion, and enhance overall performance.

Prenatal Yoga will begin on Monday ~ October 20th to November 17th, 2025.
5 Week Session on Mondays from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
(45 Min Yoga/15 Min Share & Discussion)

Prenatal Yoga is a multifaceted approach that encourages maintaining your strength and stability, developing more mindfulness, and growing the mother-baby bond. We will incorporate breath awareness in the body that is safe for baby. Always consult with your doctor before any new program during pregnancy.

What to expect when you attend Prenatal Yoga
👶🏻 5-week Sessions of Prenatal Yoga Classes to bond with other new moms
👶🏻Asanas or Poses that are accessible to first, second and third-trimester pregnancies

7pm - 8:30pm

You will begin with a Yin class guided by Jennifer, then rest in Savasana with your pins placed by Charene Peirce DOMP, R. Ac., while being guided through a Yoga Nidra Meditation.

$50+txs per session, and you will receive a $30 receipt for the acupuncture portion of your session that you can provide for insurance.

November's session will be themed, Root & Restore Yin and Pin

As the nights grow longer, it’s time to slow down and root into Yin. This final session nourishes the Lungs and Kidneys, moistens dryness, and prepares the body for winter’s stillness. Yin yoga will gently open and release, while acupuncture supports deep rest, immunity, and emotional ease.

Focus: Metal element (Lung & Large Intestine) — letting go, receiving nourishment, and anchoring Yin.

Monday, September 22, 2025 ~ Did you feel that this morning? The crispness in the air🥶, the warmer sweater you needed🧣, turning your heat on for your commute🚙? That temperature drop feels like a restart of something new, but maybe something new and slower. Maybe something nourishing, warming and restoring as the days become shorter, we have more time to feed our self-care needs.

This week at Amana Yoga, we have a Qigong workshop on Thursday from 6pm - 7:30pm. Embrace the Equinox and the shift in seasons with some slower, more intentional, and energy-storing movement and breath.

🧘‍♀️Wondering what makes Ashtanga Yoga so Special?🧘‍♀️

✨ Structured and Progressive✨ Ashtanga follows a set sequence of postures. You repeat the same series each time, which allows you to track progress and deepen into poses over time.

✨ Breath and Movement Connection✨ Every movement is linked to the breath (vinyasa). This creates a moving meditation and builds heat in the body for strength and detoxification.

✨ Discipline and Tradition✨ It comes from a very traditional lineage (Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India). The method emphasizes consistency, discipline, and dedication.

✨ Strength + Flexibility✨ Compared to some other yoga styles, Ashtanga is physically demanding. It builds core strength, endurance, and flexibility, while also challenging focus and mental resilience.

✨ Mysore Style✨ A unique way of learning where students practice individually in a group setting with a teacher giving one-on-one adjustments. It’s self-paced but guided, which is rare in modern yoga.

✨ Spiritual Aspect✨ The repetition, discipline, and inward focus help cultivate self-awareness, humility, and mindfulness. Many practitioners find it deeply transformative beyond just physical fitness.
