Here’s what we dive into:

🏃‍♀️ Your running history
Mileage, pace, goals, recent changes—we want the full picture.

🦵 Strength + mobility
We check key areas like hips, glutes, calves, and core (aka your running powerhouses)

🎥 Running analysis
We watch how you run (sometimes on video) to spot things like overstriding, cadence, and movement patterns (Bring your current running shoes)

👟 Footwear check
Your shoes can make a difference—we’ll chat about what you’re currently using and what might work better

📋 Game plan
A mix of strength work, tweaks to your running, and a plan to keep you moving without things flaring up

The goal?
Run stronger, reduce injury risk, and keep you doing what you love 🏃‍♀️💪

If something feels off in your runs—or you just want to level up—HPC can help

Hi! I’m Andrea and one thing I love about our clinic is the community that surrounds it; from practitioners and front desk, to patients and gym members, everyone is tight knit!

I’ve been a massage therapist for just over 1.5 years now and I’ve been loving every second of it! I have special interests and training in oncology massage, TMJ disfunction, sports massage, headache/migraine management and am certified in cupping therapy and IASTM!

Outside of the clinic you can probably find me reading, on a walk or hike, playing soccer, on the ice coaching goalies, or snuggling with my cats!

Abdominal massage can support the body in a variety of ways and may help alleviate symptoms such as:
• Endometriosis and/or pelvic floor dysfunction
• Constipation or infrequent bowel movements
• Bloating
• Post-operative scar tissue pain

By working through the abdominal area, this treatment helps promote blood flow, encourage healthy digestion, and support muscle relaxation and pain relief.

Feel free to chat with your RMT to see if abdominal massage would be a good option to add to your treatment plan!

Nicole recently completed the McKenzie Method® Part A: Lumbar Spine course which is a 28-hour course covering the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of lumbar spine, lower back, and related leg pain.

The McKenzie Method focuses on self-treatment, patient empowerment, and active, self-directed management of symptoms. It emphasizes empowering patients to take an active role in their own recovery, reducing reliance on passive, hands-on treatment.

Congratulations, Nicole!

I've been with HPC since Sept 2010 after moving here from England. Started on reception but gradually worked my way into more of an admin roll behind the scenes, where I fight gremlins, figure things out and do the bookkeeping. I'm usually to be found in my tiny office (blink and you'll miss it!) or hiding away in my home office.
I love travel, boating our beautiful river system and our amazing ocean, and spending time with friends and family.

Exercise does more than build strength or improve fitness—it plays a major role in preventing chronic disease.

Movement helps regulate blood sugar, improve circulation, strengthen bones and muscles, and support brain health.

The best part? You don’t need extreme workouts to see benefits. Walking, strength training, cycling, swimming, and even active play all count.

Aim for regular movement throughout the week—your body benefits in more ways than you might realize. 💪

Hi, I’m Mairi (rhymes with safari). If you ask my coworkers, they’d probably describe me as talkative… and a little sassy.

I’ve been a physiotherapist for 8.5 years, spending most of that time at the Human Performance Centre. I’m comfortable treating all age groups—from kids to seniors—and have additional training in spinal injuries, upper extremity injuries, and osteoarthritis. I have extensive experience in treating sports, repetitive, motor vehicle accident, and workplace injuries, and providing post-operative rehabilitation.

I’ve always enjoyed being active and started going to the gym regularly as a teenager. I found a new passion for running in 2023, and have since ran multiple races. Outside of that, I’m usually reading, trying a new recipe, or embroidering. ✨

Say 'Hi' to Greg! 👋

Greg is joining the team at HPC as a massage therapist and will have both evening and daytime hours of availability! Availability starts on Monday, January 12th, and he's booking up quickly.

Call the clinic at (506) 738-8299, or follow the link to book your appointment: https://humanperformancecentre.janeapp.com

Read on to learn more about Greg.

Greg (he/him) is a west coast transplant, having grown up in Vancouver and most recently living in Nelson, BC. During that time, he began to take an interest in massage, and casually practicing on friends. After several of them suggested he take it up as a career, and with his partner having moved to Saint John as well, he sought out the program at Eastern College. He graduated with distinction in 2024, and has been registered since.

Greg is certified in myofascial cupping and plans to add certifications in active release therapy, IASTM/Guasha, and lymphatic drainage into his practice.

Beyond being a massage therapist, Greg also holds a Master's in Chemical Engineering and works part time as an energy modeller for a climate planning non-profit. Outside of the clinic and office, Greg likes to spend his time playing softball, road biking, cross country skiing, and being a cat father to his two furballs Darcy and Violet.
