At Gentle Path, we know that beginning any journey can be stressful, especially when it comes to mental health. That's why we're offering to help with the process.
Call (506) 652-PATH. Our intake team will ask for a few basic details and arrange the best way to connect.
A member of our team will contact you about your immediate needs, what you’re hoping to get from counselling, and any barriers (cost, accessibility). This helps us suggest the next step for you.
Once you decide to move forward, you’ll be given a short form asking for contact details, emergency contact, and consent for treatment. This can usually be completed online, by email, or on paper.
We’ll explain our fees, insurance requirements, or subsidized options — and help you choose the most affordable one available.
Based on your goals and preferences, we’ll offer you a clinician who best fits your needs.
Helpful things to have ready: health card/ID, any relevant reports or referral letters, and an emergency contact and bring any questions you have.
Your first counselling session is an assessment to discuss your concerns, set goals, and create a plan. Your clinician will explain confidentiality and its limits (for safety/legal reasons).
After the assessment you’ll agree on session frequency and length. Progress is reviewed regularly and your treatment plan is adjusted as needed.
If you need to cancel, change appointments, or have concerns about your care, call (506) 652-PATH and ask to speak with the intake coordinator or your clinician.
We are excited to help you into, and through, the therapeutic process. Call now, some spaces for Fall still remain.
