We are proud to announce that Dr. Larry Kotlow has added and incorporated the LightScalpel CO2 laser into his Albany, NY, practice for tongue-tie and lip-tie releases (RTOTS).

A board-certified pediatric dentist who has been caring for infants and children since 1974, Dr. Kotlow has published books (including SOS 4 TOTS) as well as dozens of articles and textbook chapters on tongue-ties, tethered oral tissues, and infant feeding, and is internationally recognized for his clinical and educational work in this field.

With LightScalpel’s very short tip-to-tissue distance (around 2 mm, the shortest of any CO2 laser delivery system), Dr. Kotlow gains fine control in tight spaces, supporting safer, more predictable treatment — especially when working with small or uncooperative patients. And because the LightScalpel CO2 laser does not require an aiming beam that can discolor or obscure the surgical site, he can clearly see tissue changes when lasing, helping him deliver a precise functional release for each child he treats.
