Fire Keeper Bernie Paul will bring the Sacred Fire.

🌿 You’re Invited to Join Us in Remembrance 🌿

Please join us Saturday, November 22 at 10:00 AM at Greenwood Cemetery (1380 Sand Cove Road) for a special ceremonial tree planting, sacred fire, and dedication at our memorial bench.

This gathering is held in reflection of International Survivors of Su***de Loss Day — a time to come together, share memories, and honor those we’ve lost. 💚

Even if you haven’t added a name to the bench this year or last, we welcome you to join us in memory of your loved ones. You’re invited to bring photos to place or hold during the ceremony.

☕ Hot drinks will be provided — feel free to bring your own reusable mug.

Together, we remember, reflect, and find connection. 💜🧡

What a great day at the Powwow! We teamed up with UNB and the Our Health Counts project to bring Sacred Medicines and fun language crafts for youth. It was so wonderful to see everyone!

We’re thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of the Wolastoq Waves, a new community lacrosse program coming to Menahqesk (Saint John)! 🌊

Designed for youth ages 5 to 18, this program focuses on fundamentals and fun. For this program, we’re offering:

✅ No registration fee

✅ Lacrosse sticks provided for the duration of the program

✅ Sessions held at a central and accessible location

✅ A 5-week, once-a-week introductory program

This is a great way for local youth to get active, learn new skills, and connect with the cultural roots and history of The Medicine Game!

🌲 Talking Treaty: Among the Trees – Hosted by Caribou Club

Join with Knowledge Carriers and treaty people for a walk in the Lorneville forest that has been approved as a site for industrial development in violation of the Treaties of Peace and Friendship, the Canadian Constitution, and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP).

Menahqesk Wellness Circle invites you to a special Medicine Walk, guided by Wabanaki Tree Spirit and Knowledge Keepers Cecilia and Anthony Brooks!
