Hello everyone!

We will be running a Parent Cafe in March at Hampton United Church. Parent Cafe's provide a space for parents and caregivers to engage in meaningful conversations in a welcoming, informal environment.

Session 1 “Body & Mind” Wed, March 11
6:30pm - 8:00pm

Session 2 “Behavior & Safety” Wed, March 18
6:30pm - 8:00pm

Session 3 “Parents” Wed, March 25
6:30pm - 8:00pm

Discussion will be participant-lead, but based on the Nobody's Perfect parenting program, which is intended to:
1. Promote positive parenting
2. Increase parents’ understanding of children’s health, safety and behaviour
3. Help parents build on the skills they have and learn new ones
4. Improve parents’ self esteem and coping skills
5. Increase self-help and mutual support

This program is completely FREE for parents and caregivers of children ages 0-6, and we will have a staff member on-site to provide childcare. Registration is required to ensure we have enough supplies for everyone.

Join us this Thursday, February 5th for The Baby Bunch! This is a weekly program intended for parents and caregivers of children ages 0-2 to enjoy the Drop-In space in a quieter, infant focused environment. Older siblings are welcome to attend and no registration is necessary!
During this week's session of the Baby Bunch we will be running Mother Goose. This is a fun opportunity to connect with your infant through play, while learning classic rhymes, songs, and finger games.

Taking place on the third Thursday of every month, this is an opportunity to receive professional support during your breastfeeding journey in a friendly, welcoming environment.

Meet with Speech Language Pathologist Susan Pope for information regarding speech and language. Susan is also able to perform hearing tests on-site.

Did you know the Kings County Family Resource Centre hosts a monthly Wellness Clinic?

Meet monthly with a Community Care Nurse and Horizon Community Social worker who can help you navigate a variety of resources and services. The Wellness Clinic operates on a drop-in basis, however confidential office space is available for private consultations.

Our next Wellness Clinic will take place on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm at the Kings County Family Resource Centre.

Join us TOMORROW, Tuesday, January 20th from 10:00am - 11:00am for Infant CPR (Non-Certificate).

This is a video-led course with a chance for hands on practice, you will not receive a certificate but will have an opportunity to learn new skills in a welcoming environment.
