Today we’re celebrating World Veterinary Day and recognizing the amazing veterinarians who care for animals and help protect our communities.

World Veterinary Day was created to remind us that vets do so much more than care for pets. They also play an important role in food safety, global food security, and preventing diseases that can affect both animals and people.

This year’s theme, “Veterinarians: Guardians of Food and Health,” highlights the vital work they do every day. From caring for family pets to supporting farmers and safe food systems from farm to fork.

Being a veterinarian is not an easy job. They face long hours, emotional decisions, emergencies, and help families through some of the hardest moments with their pets. A little kindness, patience, and understanding can make a big difference when working with your animal health professionals.

We are so thankful for their compassion, dedication, and hard work.

Happy World Veterinary Day! 🐾

🌍 World Veterinary Day 2026 is here! 🐾

Today, the World Veterinary Association proudly launches this year’s global celebration under the theme “Veterinarians: Guardians of Food and Health.”

From farm to fork, veterinarians are at the frontline of safeguarding food safety, food security, animal health, and public health. Their work protects communities, prevents zoonotic diseases, supports sustainable food systems, and strengthens global health security in an increasingly complex and interconnected world.

As challenges such as climate change, antimicrobial resistance, and emerging diseases continue to impact global food systems, the role of veterinarians has never been more critical. They are not only animal health professionals—they are key actors in building resilient, safe, and sustainable futures.

Today, we celebrate the profession and the essential contributions veterinarians make every day.

Happy Veterinary Receptionist Week!

This week, we’re sending a whole lot of love and appreciation to the amazing people who keep our hospital running so smoothly! Our wonderful veterinary receptionists. 🐾

In the busy flow of each day, they’re often the very first voice you hear and the friendly face that welcomes you in. With calm, caring energy and kind words, they keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes, coordinate appointments, and support both our team and pet families every step of the way.

They do it all! Coordinating, comforting, problem-solving—and somehow always manage to bring a sense of warmth when it’s needed most.

To our incredible reception team: thank you for everything you do, every single day. Your compassion, strength, and dedication mean more than we can say. We are so grateful for you!

Just a little “egg-stra” note to let you know we will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday while our team enjoys some well-deserved rest (and maybe a few Easter treats! 🍫🐰).

A huge thank you to our incredible clients and our amazing staff! You’re the heart of everything we do, and we’re so grateful for each and every one of you 💛

🐾 A quick Easter safety reminder🐾
Chocolate may be a delicious treat for us, but it can be very dangerous for our furry friends. Please be sure to keep all chocolate and Easter goodies safely stored out of reach of pets, as even small amounts can make them very sick.

We hope your weekend is filled with family, fun, and lots of happy moments (and lots of tail wags too! 🐾).

We’ll be back to our regular schedule on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, refreshed and ready to care for your furry family members! 🐶🐱

🐣🌷 Hoppy Easter from all of us! 🌷🐣

Ivan (½ of management) has tried to impersonate Dr. Justason!

He’s stationed himself at the desk, pulled up a patient file, and is giving everyone “very serious medical professional” eyes. 👀

So far his recommendations include:
• More treats
• More naps
• Mandatory chin scratches for staff morale

We’re monitoring the situation closely, but management seems confident he’s ready to start writing prescriptions (mostly for snacks). 🐾📋

🌿🐾 March is Pet Poison Prevention Month! 🐾🌿

Spring is around the corner — and so are some hidden household dangers for our furry friends.

Did you know common items like chocolate 🍫, lilies 🌷 (especially dangerous for cats!), human medications 💊, grapes & raisins 🍇, and even certain cleaning products 🧼 can be toxic to pets?

Curious pets love to sniff, lick, and explore — which means prevention is key!
✔️ Keep medications and cleaners out of reach
✔️ Check plants before bringing them home
✔️ Store food safely
✔️ Call your vet right away if you suspect ingestion

If you’re ever unsure, it’s always better to call and ask. Quick action can save lives. 💛

Let’s work together to keep our pets safe this March — and all year long! 🐶🐱

Ivan (½ of management) would like it noted in the official record that he tried.

He monitored the pitcher. He evaluated the batter. He considered chasing the on-screen ball. ⚾️

But after determining the ball was, in fact, unreachable, he concluded his services were no longer required and entered

NAP PROTOCOL. 💤

Dr. Justason, he apologizes for his boredom and suggests a sport with more sprinting and less dramatic standing.

Management will reconvene after snack time. 🐾
