📣Statement Regarding Equine Veterinary Services in New Brunswick📣
We understand that the recent announcement regarding the closure of provincial veterinary equine field services may be concerning for horse owners across our province. For those in the more rural regions of New Brunswick, we recognize that this change may feel particularly unsettling, as access to veterinary care is already a significant challenge.
To our valued clients—who have trusted us over the past 17 years—please know how much we appreciate your confidence in our team. Your trust means the world to us, and we remain fully committed to providing consistent, high-quality, and compassionate care for your horses.
Our practice is well-prepared to support additional equine care needs and help ease this transition for the community. We currently have four veterinarians providing equine services, and we are excited to be welcoming a local new graduate to our team this spring. Furthermore, we are actively exploring additional hiring opportunities to ensure continued growth and stability.
We believe collaboration is key during times of change. We remain open to discussions with other veterinarians interested in continuing equine field services in our region to ensure that horse owners—no matter where they are located—have reliable access to care.
At this time, our current range for emergency services extends from St. Stephen to Moncton and north to the Fredericton area. Please note that for locations greater than a 40-kilometre radius from a hub practice, you may be required to transport to the hospital in the event of an emergency.
