Hello friends of Hope Cafe'! Dang. It's been a hot minute since I've been on here to connect with you all!

I have an announcement to share with you all. I have thought long and hard about this and prayed about it many nights. Ultimately, I have decided that I will no longer be facilitating Hope Cafe'. My heart and my attention and energy are being called in a different direction and I am honoring that calling.

It's been a fantastic ride and I've learned so much about myself and about leading and teaching and sharing. I've loved getting to know all of our regulars ( ya'll know who you are

Hello everyone! Tonight (May 25th, 2021) at 6:30 we meet for Hope Cafe' at Taste and See Restaurant & Stable Grounds Cafe.

Tonight will be our last get together for the spring/summer season. With the weather getting nicer and summer coming, it's time to get ourselves out in the sunshine (or the rain, if you're into that ;) ) and re-charge! That's just what I'll be doing :)

Tonight I have no special guest or video to share, but I'm excited to meet with you all and hear about life, and maybe how the recent videos and guests have affected you and your mental health.

We meet from 6:30 - 7:30, Hope to see you there

Hello my friends and happy Monday!

I just wanted to give you all a heads up that we have a very special guest joining us for Hope Cafe' tomorrow night (April 27th, 6:30) at Taste and See Restaurant and Cafe'.

Her name is Sue Pitman and she is the Domestic Violence and Community Outreach Coordinator at Park Place - Sussex Domestic Violence Outreach.

I have asked Sue to join us tomorrow evening to share a bit about who she is and the services she provides and also to speak on the link between trauma (often caused by abuse) and mental illness.

You won't want to miss this folks, Sue is a wonderful soul and she has a wealth of information to share.

Just a suggestion, if you think of any questions you may want to ask Sue while she is visiting, jot them down on a piece of paper and bring them with you tomorrow night.

Hope to see you there.
Much love

Happy Tuesday friends! Today (April 13th) at 6:30 pm we meet again for Hope Cafe'.

Tonight, we will be discussing the link between what we eat and our mental health. I'll be sharing a few articles with the group and we will discuss simple ways to incorporate highly beneficial foods into our diets.

When it comes to changing what we eat, I'm a firm believer that it all starts with ADDING the good things, not taking things away.

I'm excited to collaborate with you all on this subject, as it's something that has made a profound impact in my life for the better 😊 And I'm still learning.

Hope to see you all tonight. All are welcome πŸ’œ

I wanted to share some of the beautiful art pieces that we created at group the other night!

We didn't get too deep into conversation about mental health but we had other great conversations and just had a great little hang out. It was fun and refreshing.

I believe every day is a great day when you art! It brings a lot of joy into my life and I Hope it did the same for everyone who participated in this project.

Good day my friends, and happy Tuesday 😊

Tonight is our bi- weekly meeting for Hope Cafe' ( March 30th) at 6:30 - 7:30.

Tonight, we're trying something super new for our group! We will be creating an art project, lead by myself (Jesse-Lynn) and my son Keenan will be facilitating me.

We've discussed in group before how calming and healing it can be to get creative, so tonight I will introduce you all to a super cool and unique art project that is cheap and fun to make and looks amazing!

Everyone is welcome, including support friends if you need a little encouragement to come to group 😊

Please wear your mask and sanitize your hands upon entry and have a seat.

Hope to see you tonight! Much love βœŒπŸ’œ

"What if you believe that each and every experience drawn to you, without exception, is your opportunity to demonstrate your mastery of life?
What if we view life as opportunities to demonstrate mastery instead of tests that can be passed or failed. Your body responds to that feeling. Life offers you a challenge and you know that you have done the best that you can do in that moment, and that's all there is. You didn't succeed, you didn't fail, you simply had that experience and that was your opportunity to demonstrate mastery."

Hey there everyone! Happy Tuesday :) Just a quick reminder that we meet for Hope Cafe' tonight at 6:30 (Tuesday, March 16th) at Taste and See Restaurant and Cafe'.

There is a video I would like to share with the group tonight from two of my favorite motivational speakers. The message is an important one about 'being nice to yourself'

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to pop on here and say how lovely it was to see all of your faces and be in your company last night. It was so nice to catch up with everyone and share some of our ups and downs.

We chatted a bit about the tools that we all use when we're feeling down, and also the importance of the mind-body-spirit connection. All of these areas of our being are equally important for balance and wellness and we must care for our selves in all of these areas on a regular basis to be well.

Here is a little self care list, or list of tools that we can use to build ourselves up when we are feeling low.

Post below one of your favorite tools, on this list or something that's not on this list. I want to know, what's your favorite thing to do to lift yourself up when you're feeling low?

Hey everyone,
tonight is the night we meet for Hope Cafe'! (March 2, 2021) I'm grateful to be able to get together with all of you.

We will meet at Taste and See at 6:30. Please be sure to wear your mask and sanitize your hands when you come in.

We have shorted our meeting time by half an hour, just so you are aware in case you have someone coming to pick you up. We'll wrap up our meeting by 7:30.

See you tonight!

~Jesse
