Due to the red weather warning in place and to ensure the safety of staff and patients, we will be running an Emergency Only service tomorrow.

Please only call the surgery if you have a medical emergency.

We will also be working with a reduced staff level so please bear with us as we try our best to assist where we can.

Please note that the practice will be open for emergencies only from 1.30pm tomorrow Thursday 5th December as most of the team are attending a centralised NHS Lothian training session.

There will be a small team in the practice to deal with any urgent enquiries that need to be dealt with before we re-open fully on Friday morning at 8am.

📞 Prescription Line📞

We now have a dedicated prescribing team who patients can speak to by selecting option 1 when calling in to the practice. This team are available Mon-Fri 8am until 6pm.

💊 Prescriptions💊

Please note that the practice no longer sends messages to advise when prescriptions have been issued. Prescriptions will usually be issued within 2 working days of the request being made.

We ask patients to initially check with their own pharmacy prior to calling the practice as most prescriptions will automatically be sent across as per patient instruction on the request.

Some pharmacies may have their own messaging service to notify patients when medication is ready to collect, please enquire directly with your own pharmacy about this.

🗓️World Mental Health Day🗓️

In addition to the event at Strathbrock, the team will have a stand in the waiting room for the practice on Thursday from 10-1 if anyone would like to find out more about the services available.

Last week we had 39 appointments which were not attended in the practice. We would like to remind patients that if you are unable to attend an appointment that it should be cancelled as far in advance as possible so that these appointments can be offered to others.
