🏃‍♀️ Meet Runner Sarah Mulhaul!

Sarah is a proud military spouse, mom of three, and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who specializes in treating PTSD through her private group practice in Virginia. In March 2024, Sarah was diagnosed with triple positive breast cancer—and today, she’s grateful to have no evidence of disease. Now, she’s running the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon to teach her children they can face hard things and to stand in solidarity with everyone impacted by breast cancer! Outside of work and training, you’ll find Sarah on her hobby farm, in the kitchen, or exploring the outdoors.

💪 Fun fact: She once climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro while 9 weeks pregnant with twins!

Let’s cheer Sarah on as she runs 26.2 miles for a cause close to her heart.

Follow along with her journey and meet the rest of here. Already running the 2025 TCS NYC Marathon? Join Team YSC and help raise vital funds for young adults affected by breast cancer.

"On February 6, 2024, I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 26 years old, beginning a year-long healing journey. After a double mastectomy, three reconstructive surgeries, and countless hours in hospitals, I was ready to switch my focus from physical to mental and spiritual healing.

Two months after my final surgery, February 3rd, three days before my one-year diagnosis anniversary, I was informed the cancer had returned. Since then I have had two more surgeries & completed 4 rounds of chemotherapy.

Despite this setback, I remain determined to change the narrative around cancer and refuses to let it dim my light. This battle hasn’t been easy but i still believe it happened for me, and I'm strongly passionate about spreading awareness, being an advocate for other young women going through the same thing." -

💙Small Grants – Real Impact 💙

Our Small Grants Programme provides crucial support to families facing cancer during pregnancy and beyond. These grants help ease financial burdens, making a real difference in people’s lives. Here’s what some of our recipients have shared:

⭐ “Treatment was a 50-mile round trip Monday to Friday, so it really helped put my mind at ease knowing I could get to treatment without worrying about costs.”

⭐ “I was able to pay for counselling… I was in a dark place at the time and I don’t know if I’d still be alive if it wasn’t for this support.”

⭐“The grant made me feel like I could actually afford to look after myself and do some things with my baby without the guilt of spending money on it.”

These small grants make a big difference. If you or someone you know could benefit from our support, please reach out. 💙

🎉Huge congratulations to Jamie and the team from Lloyds Banking on completing a 20 mile Peak District Walk in May. They raised £1624, plus gift aid, and Lloyds were generous enough to match that amazing total.

Morning everyone ❤️
I’m currently trying to organise myself to return to work and think we have now managed to schedule all cancelled clients from the time I was off with my mum. This now means that I’m pretty full until November.

Could I please ask that any of my existing clients that are aware they need a colour boost for either November or December to contact me to get booked asap please. I’m happy for you to either message me directly or use the booking link in the bio to secure your space.

If you should have been booked back in but haven’t then also, please drop me a message. I will do my best to accommodate you but I am going to be much stricter with my time on my return. One things this period has taught me is that time is pretty much the most valuable thing we have.

I want to thank all of my lovely clients and students for being so understanding during this time. I appreciate you all ❤️

Ella was diagnosed with breast cancer at just 23 years old but her journey to diagnosis was not a simple one. Due to Li-Fraumeni Syndrome, Ella knew breast cancer was a high possibility, however she didn’t think it would happen whilst she was so young.

Ella is keen to continue to advocate for early detection and wants to use her voice to ensure all young people know that breast cancer can affect them too.

Head over to coppafeel.org to read the rest of Ella’s story.
