Today is a special moment to celebrate the wonderful mothers, grandmothers and mother figures who are part of life across RCH Care Homes. It is also a time to recognise the dedicated mums within the teams who bring compassion and care to residents every day.
For some, today is also a time of reflection and remembrance for loved ones who are no longer here, and thoughts are with everyone holding those memories close.
A heartfelt thank you to the incredible teams across the homes who have worked so hard to create thoughtful celebrations and special moments for residents and their families today.💐

What better way to end the week than with a night out at the bowling alley?
Residents and the team from Orchard House Care Home enjoy regular bowling nights together, and it’s always a fantastic opportunity for everyone to get involved—no matter the bowling skills!
From cheering each other on to celebrating the occasional strike, the evenings are full of laughter, friendly competition, and great company. Of course, no night out would be complete without finishing the evening with a meal and a well-earned tipple.
Moments like these show the dedication and creativity the team brings to supporting residents to stay active, social, and connected with the community. It’s exactly why the team has been named finalists for Team of the Year at the Fenland Citizen Business Awards.
Good luck to the team – well deserved! 👏🎳

We proud of our Blue Light Breakfast Dropoff Club initiative in our homes.
Each month the residents and teams will pack a hamper with freshly made breakfast goodies and drop them off at their local emergency first responders or health care organisations.
Recently Manton Heights Care Centre had the pleasure of delivering a special breakfast drop-off to the wonderful firefighters at Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service
Residents and the Lifestyle Team brought along some delicious bacon and sausage rolls as a small thank you to the dedicated blue light responders who support the local community every day.
The visit also turned into a fantastic experience for residents, as the firefighters kindly welcomed the group into the station, gave a tour of the fire engines, and shared fascinating insights into their work and how they keep communities safe.
A big thank you to the team at Bedford Fire Station for the warm welcome and for the incredible work carried out every day. 👏🚒
