It was our busiest session yet with our West Horndon Community Creatives.
We love the welcoming back regulars and new faces and the fact we had to get more tables out of the cupboard!
Cuppas, chats and creativity flowed in our session and we're looking forward to our next workshops at the end of May.

So far this week…
and at Fane Hall, Kelvedon Hatch. We’ve hosted two fantastic groups of participants for our Community Creatives sessions.

We offered a meditation using thoughts as the anchor for our attention and then brought to mind a positive or uplifting situation, real or imagined. We hope you’ll agree the postcards we then made for ourselves really capture the essence of those positive situations. Thanks to our two talented artists and

At for our latest Community Creatives session, we tried a simple, calming exercise: creating a postcard to myself after imagining a favourite memory.
No specific destination required, no story to chase — just the act of pausing, noticing the words that wanted to appear and letting them land on the page.

There’s something grounding about it:
a blank card, a few quiet minutes and the gentle invitation to speak kindly to yourself.

A tiny practice but it shifts the whole day.

More upcoming sessions for the end of April in the Brentwood area.

Last Thursday we sited a workshop for a fabulous group of parent carers in Brentwood.

We discussed simple ways to support our own wellbeing, made self-care collages to remind us of things that help us feel good and practised a simple STOP mindfulness practice.

As one of our participants said in their feedback “Loved just having a bit of time with no pressure and just picking things I liked for a change!”

Our recent Mindful Watercolours for Carers session enabled a calming space. Everyone had chance slow down, breathe and reconnect with themselves through colour, painting and doodling with a reminder of how much this time is needed away from the responsibilities of being a carer.

If you missed it — or if you’d love to experience it again — more sessions are on the way.
A moment just for you.
A pause you deserve.

Today’s post is another story from one of our participants.

This person has been to many of our workshops and for them practising mindfulness in stillness with closed eyes just doesn’t work.

They have always been a doodler but since attending our workshops they have bought these little art journals and given themselves time to doodle. They’ve told us it helps settle them when they are feeling anxious. They have developed their own creative mindfulness practice that they can use daily to support their wellbeing.

We love hearing these stories from our participants and are thrilled to see the legacy of our work being practised out in the field!

Head to our Eventbrite page to join one of our workshops this month.

We had a lovely self-care collage session with Creative Health Practitioner Sue Mills at our last workshop. It was a joyful and creative opportunity to pause, reflect, and focus on wellbeing together.
