This year my focus will be on hair loss and perimenopausal and menopausal skin and scalp changes. This is an area I am particularly passionate about, both professionally and personally, as I am currently experiencing perimenopause myself. This has given me a deeper understanding of the hormonal fluctuations—particularly changes in oestrogen, progesterone, and androgens—and how they contribute to hair thinning, reduced follicular activity, inflammation, and skin ageing.

Being based within a hair salon allows me to see first-hand how prevalent female pattern hair loss and frontal hairline thinning are in women aged 35–60. I am also achieving strong clinical outcomes treating male androgenetic alopecia.

A key part of my approach involves advanced regenerative therapies, including exosome-based treatments, which work at a cellular level by delivering growth factors, cytokines, and signalling proteins to stimulate follicular regeneration, improve scalp health, and support hair cycling (anagen phase). These treatments are particularly beneficial in hormonally driven hair loss where inflammation and follicle miniaturisation are present.
