Sometimes we all need a little reminder - you're doing better than you think.
Self-doubt and critical voices can feel so loud. We can end up feeling like we're not good enough, or like we're not doing enough.
But so often, we're working incredibly hard just to keep going - to keep trying, learning and growing.

This is your reminder: you are enough.

Those little battles - getting up each day, facing the world, trying again - are incredibly brave. They speak to your strength, even if you can't always see it.

Showing ourselves self-compassion and kindness can feel incredibly difficult at times. Sometimes we need to take time to focus on ourselves, to notice what our inner voice sounds like, and to show ourselves the same love and kindness we show others. Counselling can help to explore our inner world, to notice and challenge that inner critic, and learn to develop a self-compassionate voice.

Thoughts of su***de can feel incredibly isolating, painful and overwhelming, and the idea of sharing them with others incredibly scary.
But you don't have to sit with those feelings alone. You can share them, explore and understand them, whether that be with friends, family, a helpline, GP or therapist.

It is Mental Health Awareness Week this week. It's so important to be aware of our mental wellbeing, and to have a think about how we can look after ourselves.
We all need different things at different times, whether that be to have some counselling, to get active, to reach out and connect to others or nature, to do something creative, or to turn off the phone and have a PJ day.
It's ok to give yourself some time and space to look after you.

Yesterday was National Self Harm Awareness Day.
Self-harming can be misunderstood, and can often bring with it a sense of fear of judgement, a fear that others won't understand, or a sense of shame.
But it is a way of coping, a way to try and manage and express the emotional pain that is felt inside.
In counselling, it is ok to talk about self-harm, so we can understand it and the pain that's underneath.
You are not alone.
