If you have been wanting to try chair pilates, take this as your sign.
Don’t let the name fool you, this small piece of equipment delivers a big challenge.
The Chair has a very small base of support, which means your balance, strength and stability are all put to the test. The top of the chair acts like the world’s smallest exercise mat, creating a whole new way to move and challenge your body.
With its spring-loaded pedal, resistance comes from both the springs and your own body weight.
Exercises can be performed sitting, standing, kneeling and lying, on top, to the side, in front or behind. The possibilities really are endless.
Some of our favourites include:
• Footwork (heels lifted)
• Pikes
• Press Downs
• Side Pull Ups
It’s one of the most functional and versatile pieces of Pilates equipment and we can’t wait for you to try it.
✨ Starts this Thursday at 12pm.
