𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬

We are a training practice and as such we support the teaching of medical students. You may be offered an appointment with a medical student. The appointment with a medical student will be longer than you may usually have a with a GP, and they may ask you more questions than you are used to. They will gather information from you primarily and discuss your condition with their supervising doctor who will then see you as well.

A medical student is not a qualified doctor and so the supervising doctor will be responsible for your care, while the medical student is supported in their learning.

Please note that the surgery will be closed on Wednesday 10th September from 12:30 PM for essential staff training. We will reopen as usual on Thursday 11th September.

🚧 Temporary Road Closure – Bourton to Northleach (A429 Fosseway) 🚧

Please be aware that a Temporary Traffic Order is in place to close the A429 Fosseway for essential Ash Dieback tree work.

📍 Where: From the A436 Old Gloucester Road junction to the A40 junction near Northleach.

📅 When: 1st – 12th September 2025 (weekdays only), 09:30 – 15:30 daily.

⚠️ If you have a doctor’s appointment or need to travel during these hours, please allow plenty of time for your journey and plan an alternative route.

👶 For children from walking age up to 10 years old

Northleach Court is opening its doors for a fun intergenerational morning at their Kids Club! 🌈 Expect music, games, laughter, and refreshments as children and residents come together for a heartwarming session of fun. 💕

Research shows that connecting the youth with the elderly boosts confidence, improves communication, and supports memory. With the summer holidays in full swing, this is a perfect chance to come together as a community and make some beautiful memories.

This will be their very first intergenerational event, with hopes to continue monthly if all goes well. 🥳

👉 Please note: a responsible adult must stay for the entire session.

We think this is such a lovely initiative and hope many families can join! 🥰

🎓 A-level Results Day 2025 🎓

Today, students across the UK are opening their A-level results – a big moment full of excitement, nerves, and anticipation. Here at our surgery, we’re also celebrating learning and ambition as we welcome a medical student for work experience, shadowing Dr Griffith.

Having students with us is a wonderful reminder of the many paths that lie ahead. Just like today’s A-level students, our work experience student is exploring her future, learning from real-life experiences, and discovering what inspires her every day.

To everyone receiving results today – congratulations if you achieved your goals! And if your results aren’t quite what you hoped for, remember: this is just one moment in your story. Life is full of opportunities, and sometimes the unexpected turns lead to the most exciting and rewarding destinations.

We’re proud of all students for their hard work, dedication, and resilience. Your journey is just beginning – there are so many paths to success, and each one is worth exploring. 🌟
