It's always a highlight of our summer to participate in Springbank Community Group CiC 's Family Fun Day! 🥳

Our nurses were there to spread the word about vaccines & immunisations, specifically the childhood ones. And our social prescribing link workers got out their crafty supplies for children to make seagulls and practiced some mindfulness with beach-themed colouring sheets.

Yesterday's event was well attended and we were given positive feedback from all the families who stopped by to see us. Thank you! 🫶

We are excited to share that we're running another GlosDigi Hub at our GP surgeries! 👩‍💻📱

At a Digi-Hub, you could get hands-on help and 1:1 tech support with:
⚡️ registering for the NHS app for the first time
⚡️ getting proxy access to the app for a relative or carer
⚡️ quick and convenient access to test results and hospital referrals on your smartphone/tablet
⚡️ viewing and ordering repeat prescriptions

If you or anyone you live with could benefit from gaining more confidence in using their devices, please ask them to come and visit us at the Wilson Health Centre on Thursday 17th July anytime from 11am - 1pm.

We're here at our Live Longer Better event at Oakley Community Resource Centre! 👋

You can still drop in until 2:30pm to meet us and learn more about staying active and connected as you get older with lots of local organisations we partner with in Cheltenham. ⛹️‍♀️🤾‍♂️🧘

You can also look forward to trialling some exercise sessions and there's an opportunity to get caught up on your BP checks and COVID Spring Boosters for eligible patients. 👩‍⚕️🩺

A massive well done to our befriending volunteer, Sarah Howard, for being the runner-up for *Volunteer of the Year* at this year's Gloucestershire Volunteer Awards ceremony! 🏅👏

Sarah received support from our Social Prescribing team after the sudden loss of her beloved husband. She trained as a befriending volunteer and channelled her experience into empowering others who are lonely, housebound and struggling with confidence. Sarah works with 5 patients at a time within our PCN and has completed over 200 volunteering hours in the past year. 🤩💪

We couldn't be prouder of you, Sarah. Your compassion, commitment, and tireless advocacy have touched so many lives and we're grateful to have you! 🩷🫂

🔔 Just In: There's a new fitness and wellbeing class in Cheltenham for anyone affected by cancer. See the poster for more details!

We are excited to announce the addition of an extra fitness and wellbeing class!

Due to high demand and popularity of our current Monday 9:30am class, we are delighted to share the details of our new class that will take place on Thursdays at 9:15am at the YMCA sports centre (starting 27/02/25).

We have printed these leaflets and shared them around ‘hot spots’ for cancer patients in the local area, but if you know anyone who could benefit from these classes, please pass the details on to them. These classes really are life changing.

All details about the classes at the bottom of this poster. Thank you for your continued support and enabling us to help more people in need 💜

We've been enjoying the warmer weather and summer is in full swing! If you've been cooped up inside, now would be a great time to get some fresh air and join our fortnightly walking group.

Meet us at Central Cross Cafe at 1pm this Thursday for our next walk around the park. We'd love to see new faces and furry friends!

Fit for life Gloucestershire offers pay-as-you-go exercise classes in Cheltenham to support and educate older adults to get active and *stay* active. We want older adults to stay independent for as long as possible! 💪⏳

Prevention is at the heart of what we do by increasing or stabilising individual’s fitness, balance and strength to counter the ageing process. We also teach participants how to get up off the floor if they fall at home and practice pelvic floor exercise to reduce the risk of incontinence.

Classes are designed to suit all abilities and fitness levels including chair-based, mixed standing and seated and 50+ circuit workout. Social interaction at our classes is as important as the exercise, so we provide free refreshments to encourage everyone to stay and chat. 🗣

Browse through a variety of health services in the Main Hall, get advice and take away free resources. You can also attend any of the in-depth seminar talks throughout the day, with Gujarati and Sylheti interpreters. See the poster for more details!

Our Children & Young People Social Prescribing Link Workers hosted an energetic Easter party just before we have a restful time off over the bank holiday.

We invited a group of children and their families to Funky warehouse, where they had lots of fun on the trampolines, the obstacle course and the 'death slide' - as they called it! After some lunch, they were all given an Easter egg to take home as well. 🥳

It's been a pleasure to support these families over recent months and to be able to celebrate the positive outcomes we've had.
