Babies in Bloom Cheltenham - Postnatal Course A postnatal course delivered by two health professionals consisting of five classes for mothers and babies aged 0 – 6 months.

Babies in Bloom was created by two health professionals (with backgrounds in midwifery, health visiting and community nursery nursing) to enable mothers to feel confident in understanding and caring for their babies, helping them to embrace and cherish those first six months. Babies in Bloom explores the topics, questions and concerns facing mothers with new babies through a series of five postnatal classes, delivered in a reassuring and interactive way. Our qualifications place us in a unique position to provide a wealth of knowledge and experience in all areas of baby/child health and development, based on our first-hand experiences of what mothers really want to know, and the “most recent thinking” on all topics discussed. Babies in Bloom also loves socialising and acknowledges how important moral support is for new mothers. Our relaxed approach and friendly atmosphere provides a perfect environment for learning whilst mingling over tea and cake.

General information

Babies in Bloom runs over the space of five (usually) consecutive weeks. Babies in Bloom accepts a maximum of ten mothers with their babies per course. Sessions currently take place on Saturdays, between 10am and 12pm or 1pm and 3pm. The topics covered within each session are: Session 1 – Your Baby’s Uniqueness – Learn how to read, respond and relate to your baby Session 2 – How to Manage Sleep / Play and Development Session 3 – First Aid*, Common Childhood Conditions and Illnesses, Accident Prevention, and When and Where To Seek Advice Session 4 – Weaning – Including teeth development, managing teething and oral hygiene Session 5 – Baby Massage and Your Choice Babies in Bloom costs £150 per mother and baby for the complete five-week course.
