The Awakening Breath - Conscious Breathwork

special Pilot Session that will focus on Conscious Breathwork - a personal transformative therapy that creates the ability to change the way you feel and can reset your brain’s way of thinking, bringing holistic balance to body, mind, and emotions.

Who is it for?
Anyone wanting to learn focused, connected breathing, particularly those dealing with fatigue, anxiety, stress, low moods, or seeking inner healing.

What to expect -
An active Breathwork class is designed to alleviate anxiety and stress. It resets the mental mind and clears the “chitter chatter” in the head. This unique, conscious breathwork slows your heart rate, lowers blood pressure, can help release stuck energy and reduce pain sensitivity.

Benefits of breathwork -
* Reduces stress and anxiety by slowing your heart rate and calming your fight-or-flight response
* Improves memory, sharpens focus, and quietens overthinking
* Regulates the nervous system and diminishes chronic pain - a stressed body and mind amplifies pain signals and sensitivity; breathwork counteracts this
* Calms your brain when you’re sleep deprived, which helps you fall asleep
* Releases stuck energy, trauma, and negative patterns that may be holding you back
* Creates lasting benefits for a healthier body and more peaceful mind

What to bring?
Your own mat, pillow and blanket to make you feel comfortable (limited spare studio props available) and a bottle of water.

Date Saturday 21 February
Time 12pm - 1pm

Sharing with you the start of New Year’s Day 2026 with a healing practice in the company of Tina Pashumati and her Senior Teacher Sunny Saraswati Devi. 🫶🏼💫🕊️🌈

I’m sitting in my seat of meditation on The Millennium Bridge in London on the day of New Year’s Eve 2025.

This wasn’t planned but happened very spontaneously late afternoon when the light of the sun and the greyness of the cold winter weather was lighting the evening sky. I felt the urge to portray the image of a hectic life and that it is possible to take my mind to a place that brings peace and calm within.

I noticed when I deeply concentrated on my diaphragmatic breathing, we also know as deep belly breathing, the outside noise around me gently dissipated. I felt the sense of my breath calming my nervous system instantly, bringing a feeling of warmth and a softness in my body.

There were moments the thoughts in my head brought me back to the worldly city sounds around me, but by focusing on my breathing, the “chitter chatter” of my mind became less and less as if nothing else mattered than just to tune inwards. A rooting sense that brought comfort with my breath…

Like everything, this requires a daily practice so you can reap the benefits to a more calm, peaceful, and grounded way of living.

We live in a constant moving environment where change is happening fast and is continuous. We live in a society where we can feel the pressure and demands from work and people around us, we live in a time where we put high expectations onto ourselves. These factors will have an immediate effect on us physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

The grounding and rooting down will help us to feel safe in our basic needs of survival and in our search of finding stability in a busy world.

Earth is one of the five elements of nature and gives us the foundation to regain a more balanced, joyful and peaceful inner landscape so we can feel safe and are able to survive and connect with the outer world to live at ease.

Master Patanjali says our connection to the Earth should be steady and joyful.

{Sthira Sukham Āsanam 2:46
The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali}

Sthira meaning steady, stable.
Sukham meaning comfortable, happy, prosperous, easiness, pleasantly.
Āsanam meaning posture, presence, sitting without interruption.
Āsana is a steady, comfortable posture.

“ I know it’s the year of the horse but I want you to feel the immense big hug of a bear, because I love bears so much.” 🐻

These words, by Tina , still remain deeply within me after yesterday’s ceremony, the celebration of the start of 2026 with a New Year’s Day practice.

Each one of us added our personal intentions to the wishes for this year; blessings of hope, joy, love, gratitude, peace, health, forgiveness, seeing beauty in little things in life, friendship…and laughter! We mustn’t forget to laugh, because laughing creates happiness. Laughing lifts our spirits, it makes us feel grateful allowing us to appreciate the small things in life and each other.

A special thank you to all of you who were able to join Tina and myself on this very special day, and we held space for you who weren’t able to make the day.

Let’s start this New Year with a massive bear hug by simply wrapping your arms tight around yourself to feel what that feels like! 🤗💕💫
