Christmas has officially arrived at Cheltenham Hospital! 🎅🎄❄️

On Wednesday, our amazing Sodexo Team treated staff to a delicious Christmas dinner, spreading festive cheer throughout the hospital.

To make the occasion even more special, our Heads of Department and Senior Management Team rolled up their sleeves and waited on staff hand and foot! We even had a surprise visit from Santa.🎅

What a fantastic way to celebrate the achievements of the past year and kick start the festive period.⭐

As an Outpatient Healthcare Support Worker, you’ll show us you’re able to meet deadlines and follow instructions. You have a good telephone manner, and great computer and database skills.

You will need to be qualified with a NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, with relevant experience in an acute hospital or care setting.

As a Healthcare Support worker, you will:

On Friday, we had the pleasure of visiting the Cheltenham Critical Care Unit to present a cheque to the charity, following an incredible fundraising event from Simon, one of our ODPs in theatre.

In September, Simon completed an impressive 70-mile bike ride around the Cotswold’s with other colleagues from the theatre department, raising a fantastic £805.

Meet Dr Ben Corden, consultant Cardiologist, now practicing at the Nuffield Health Cheltenham Hospital.

We are pleased to have Dr Corden on board, who brings with him a wealth of knowledge in Cardiology, with a special interest in:

🫀General Cardiology (breathlessness, chest pain, palpitations, faints/blackouts)
🫀Heart Failure
🫀Cardiomyopathy (including hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, dilated cardiomyopathy and arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy)
🫀High blood pressure
🫀Sports cardiology
🫀Inherited cardiovascular conditions

Dr Corden is the Clinical Lead for Heart Failure in Gloucestershire and a key member of the regional Inherited Cardiac Conditions Service.

Mr Atwal explains how the Velys robotic surgical system is a game changer for knee replacement surgery.🤖

The implant position is bespoke to the patients knee and increases the accuracy and precision during surgery. The 3D model taken of the knee, means no additional imaging is needed before surgery.
