I started massage training in 2004 with the International Therapy Examination Council and continue with my professional development to this day, training in as many areas of holistic practice as I can. In 2013 I began the long process of creating The Purser Method of deep tissue massage therapy as a response to the physical demands and strains that deep tissue massage therapy has on the therapist'

s body. In 2018 the Complementary Therapist Association acknowledged the Purser Method as a unique and viable treatment practice and the same year I began training others in the technique. Throughout my career I have sought to learn as much as I can about the anatomy of the human body and about how trauma, both physical and psychological, can manifest in the body and cause chromic pain and fatigue. I have helped numerous clients manage and even overcome their chronic pain by helping them understand where the pain originates, using corrective therapeutic techniques to improve the symptoms of the original trauma and offering comprehensive aftercare advice, exercise and stretches to manage the condition. In 2018 I opened Sapphire Spa Solutions Ltd temporary spa recruitment agency to both help therapists find ad hoc work to fit in with the development of their own personal businesses or family care and to help spas by providing them with some of the best therapists in the country. I have worked with and consulted on the creation of some of the best spas in the UK and am privileged enough to have taught some of my techniques within some of my favourite spas and salons.

🧠💆‍♀️ Indian Head Massage: Myths vs. Facts 💆‍♂️🧠
Let’s clear up the confusion and bust some myths 👇

MYTH: Indian Head Massage is just a scalp massage.
FACT: It also includes the neck, shoulders, upper back, and face — all areas where tension builds up! ✨

MYTH: It’s only for relaxation.
FACT: While deeply calming, it can also relieve headaches, reduce neck stiffness, boost circulation, and even support hair growth. 🌿

MYTH: You need oils for it to be effective.
FACT: Oils are optional! The technique works beautifully with or without them — it depends on your comfort and the experience you want. 🛁

MYTH: It’s not suitable for people with migraines or chronic tension.
FACT: When tailored properly, it can actually help relieve migraines and reduce long-term tension — always let your therapist know your needs. ✅

MYTH: The benefits don’t last.
FACT: Regular sessions can have long-term effects on your mental clarity, sleep, stress levels, and overall energy. 🧘‍♀️✨

Indian Head Massage isn’t just a luxury — it’s a holistic practice with deep roots and real benefits.

💬 Deep Tissue Massage: Myths vs. Facts 💬
Let’s bust some common misconceptions 👇

MYTH: Deep tissue massage has to be painful to work.
FACT: It can be intense, but it should never be unbearable. Pain doesn't equal progress — communication with your therapist is key. 💬

MYTH: It’s only for athletes or bodybuilders.
FACT: Anyone with muscle tension, stress, or chronic pain can benefit — not just gym junkies! 🧘‍♀️💼

MYTH: One session is enough to fix everything.
FACT: Long-term issues usually need multiple sessions + self-care between treatments. It's a process, not a quick fix. 🔁

MYTH: It’s not relaxing at all.
FACT: While it’s more focused than a Swedish massage, many clients feel deeply relaxed afterward. 💤

Deep tissue massage is powerful when done right. Always work with a trained therapist, listen to your body, and don’t fall for the myths. 💡

✨ What’s the Purpose of Deep Tissue Massage? ✨

If you’ve ever wondered why deep tissue massage feels so intense — here’s why! 👇

Deep tissue massage targets the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It's designed to release chronic muscle tension, break up scar tissue, and improve mobility. 💪

Whether you're dealing with:
🔹 Persistent pain
🔹 Muscle tightness
🔹 Post-injury recovery
🔹 Stress and tension

…this therapy goes beyond surface relaxation to treat the root cause of discomfort.

It’s not always “relaxing” — but it’s effective. 💥

Think of it as a tune-up for your body. 🛠️

🍊 Vitamin C Myths & Facts for Glowing Skin 🍊

Let’s set the record straight on one of skincare’s brightest stars — Vitamin C! Whether it’s in your serum or infused into a facial, here’s what you really need to know:

MYTH 1: Vitamin C makes your skin more sensitive to the sun.
FACT: Vitamin C is an antioxidant, meaning it actually helps protect your skin from sun damage! Just be sure to layer it with SPF for maximum protection. ☀️🛡️

MYTH 2: All Vitamin C products are the same.
FACT: There are many forms of Vitamin C — and not all are equal in strength or stability. Our facials use high-quality, stable forms that are tailored to suit your skin type and concerns.

MYTH 3: Vitamin C is only for brightening.
FACT: While it’s amazing for evening out skin tone and boosting radiance, Vitamin C also supports collagen production, helps fade dark spots, and defends against pollution and environmental stress. ✨

At our clinic, we offer bespoke facials that can be tailored with Vitamin C to give your skin the glow and care it needs — especially during the brighter, sunnier months!

🌞 Don't Skip the SPF – Your Skin Will Thank You! 🌞

Sunscreen isn’t just for beach days — it’s an everyday essential, especially for your face. Here’s why daily SPF should be a non-negotiable part of your skincare routine:

🛡️ Protects Against Premature Aging
UV rays are one of the top causes of fine lines, wrinkles, and pigmentation. Daily sunscreen = long-term glow.

🚫 Reduces Risk of Skin Cancer
SPF helps protect against harmful UVA & UVB rays, which can cause serious skin damage over time.

🌤️ Shields from Everyday Exposure
Even on cloudy days or while sitting by a window, UV rays can still affect your skin. SPF is your daily armor.

💧 Keeps Skin Even and Radiant
Sun damage can lead to uneven tone, redness, and dark spots. Protecting your skin helps maintain a smoother, more even complexion.

✨ Pro Tip: Look for broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher, and apply it every morning — even if you're not going outside much. Your future self will thank you!

🔍 Reflexology Myths & Facts 🔍

Let’s clear up some common misconceptions about reflexology — and shine a light on the truth behind this powerful holistic therapy. 👣👐😊

MYTH 1: Reflexology is just a foot massage.
FACT: Reflexology uses specific pressure points on the feet, hands, and even the face to support the body’s natural healing abilities. Each area corresponds to organs and systems within the body!

MYTH 2: It’s not effective unless you feel pain.
FACT: Reflexology doesn’t need to be painful to work. In fact, gentle, focused pressure can be deeply effective — especially on the face and hands, which are rich in nerve endings and incredibly responsive.

MYTH 3: Reflexology is only for relaxation.
FACT: While it does promote deep relaxation 😌, reflexology can also help with issues like stress, headaches, digestion, sleep, and energy levels. It’s a whole-body approach to well-being.

✨ Hand Reflexology is great for on-the-go relief — easy to learn, easy to use.
✨ Facial Reflexology is deeply calming and supports lymphatic flow, skin tone, and mental clarity.

Amanda says “I attended Kayleigh’s massage workshop and am so pleased with the new techniques I have learned. I have never before received such overwhelming positive feedback from massage clients who, without exception, have all walked out of their treatment saying they felt amazing. Best of all, after a busy day of massage I no longer feel exhausted like I usually do. I have 17 years experience as a massage therapist but it just goes to show you can never stop learning! I can’t thank Kayleigh enough.”
