Miss Grumpy (who is not really grumpy) is happy with her Rhodochrosite friends and Lemurian Quartz.
When I find her in my collection it really makes me smile. 🥰🥰🥰

We stand at the halfway point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. We are witnessing and experiencing the growing days, but it’s cold and we still feel the cold in our bones and our homes.
This time is Imbolc and not a sad time but a time of knowing that our creative and social energy is returning in the Spring.
It is a time our ancestors celebrated ‘the turning of the wheel’ and we are ready to do the same with an online sacred celebration to honour Imbolc and our connection with nature and our place in the universe as divine dreamers remembering and creating our destiny.
Seeking Spiritual Wisdom duo Kelly Peacey and Rev Helen James invite you to join us to explore the pagan traditions, and your connection to self, nature and the universe.
Imbolc is often ascribed to being either the 1st or 2nd February, but astrologically and as an exact cross-quarter day – it arrives when the Sun is at 15 degrees of Aquarius on the 3rd or 4th of February. Seeking Spiritual Wisdom will be celebrating it on the 5th February as time is a circular and spiralling experience that is flexible in relationship to our consciousness - and not linear and rigid in the same way we experience it in the physical realm.
This evening event will be held on ZOOM and take place on Thursday 5th February at 7:30 pm and will last approximately 1.5 hours.
We recommend you have a lit white candle and any significant seasonal objects, pictures, and crystals with you and be in a space where you will not be disturbed and can be cosy and relaxed enough to really tune in to this time of unlimited possibilities. Please bring poems, art and anything you’d like to share with the group – we look forward to welcoming you.
Please note that we are not affiliated to any religion, and everyone is welcome no matter what your beliefs are!
To register your attendance, we are asking a donation of £10 (see link below to do this) and that you send us your email address so we can add you to the Zoom Event. It is by doing this that we will then send you the link to join us. https://ko-fi.com/seekingspiritualwisdom

Today’s New Moon in Capricorn (Sunday 18th January) invites us to get real and wise up. It offers grounding and steadiness while encouraging us to fulfil responsibilities, organise our lives, and approach both small tasks and long-term goals with practicality and intention. With a strong Capricorn emphasis and a stellium of personal planets joined by Pluto, there is a powerful call toward maturity, commitment, and meaningful transformation.
A New Moon is always a potent time for seeding intentions, and the Sabian symbol for this lunation — “a woman reading tea leaves” — beautifully highlights intuition, planning, and foresight. It reminds us that while Capricorn is pragmatic and disciplined, wisdom also arises from inner knowing.
This is a moment to discern what is truly worthy of your time and energy. Call upon the archetypal wisdom, patience, and steadfast determination of Capricorn to release distractions and focus on what genuinely supports your growth. By doing so, you align yourself more clearly with your goals and the structures needed to bring them into form. My Capricorn New Moon crystal choice is Garnet which is the traditional birthstone for Capricorn. As a nesosilicate, garnet is known for its hardness and durability, which explains its long-standing use in industry. Yet this same resilience is something we can consciously draw upon when working with the stone energetically. Formed through metamorphic processes and crystallising in a cubic structure, garnet resonates strongly with the grounding, disciplined energy of the Capricorn New Moon.
Garnet is particularly supportive during times of change, offering steadiness, strength, and the inner resolve required to meet challenges head-on. It anchors us into the body and the present moment, helping us feel supported as we take practical steps forward.

This is a real favourite stone for me as it is great to take out with you in nature especially if you like to commune with the elementals and the nature spirits. I also find it a trusty companion when visiting standing stones and old sacred sites.
Fairy Stone is also known as Fairy Cross due to its cruciform habit that is usually at a 60 or 90 degree angle. This is an earthy crystal but invites some lightness into to the heart and is composed primarily of aluminum, zinc, magnesium and iron.
Many authors suggest it is helpful for quitting smoking and easing depression but personally I feel it helps us to see the magical in the mundane reminding us that behind everything lies a supportive guiding force.
It is commonly found in the USA, Brazil, Australia, Russia, and Switzerland and exhibits brownish black, dark brown, and red brown colours.
Its name is derived from the Greek word ‘stauros’, meaning ‘cross’.
Storytelling tells of the fairies crying over finding out about the death of Jesus. It is said that their tears became the fairy cross stone.
Undoubtedly staurolite has a strengthening affect on the Earth Star, Sacral, Heart and Brow chakra that supports the process of grounding, centring making it safer to connect with the hidden realms where you may come across some fairy folk!

Embarking on a spiritual journey is not all ‘love and light’ - although that is what may be the initial attraction for you.
It about awareness and understanding your connection to you. It is about listening to your body, rediscovering the role of intuition and being vulnerable at times as you unravel the false ego generated light.
Many say, “There is no pleasure without pain,” and there is some truth in this statement. The soul can feel ruthless sometimes especially as you plunder through challenging times as the Soul seeks to grow, rebalance and transform your awareness into higher wisdom.
Ultimately, it is the polarised nature of duality - the light and dark teaches you to accept change as a human and how to love yourself and others.
This is an ongoing challenge. Some days you feel you are in the zone and other days you feel thrown out by life’s events… and that’s ok because that experience will transform.
Give yourself the time and space to do the inner work.
