Outcome of operation was better than expected.
He's an excellent surgeon but always seemed pressed for time. he's not one who might spend a time to explain things in detail.
My back pain has virually gone since i had the procedure. I an waiting to have similar done to my right hip. So far the improvement has been 80%. Now I just suffer from normal age related aches and pains.

A friend has already had surgery with the same doctor. It would seem unlikely that another would need to do so Not much of a bedside manner. However, cannot fault him on the actual surgery

The aftercare has been awful. Many of the questions in this survey say it all. I dont know whether I can lift, do activities etc because i havent been given any information. The very brief physio visit the day after the op told me i could run after 2 weeks. A phone call with the surgeons team said definitely not
The surgeon was very professional and polite, he also pointed out that the operation would probably not alleviate the pain in my buttocks.
Overall I’m happy with the procedure as I was in life limiting pain, I’ve just came to the conclusion that I’ll never be back to my previous level of fitness.

Mr Sundarham is in my opinion (the patient) the best and I would recommend him to family and friends. Mr Sunderham recognised my other 'activity limiting condition' of M.E/CFS Fibromyalgia andrealised that the condition has an effect on my day to day life, where others have not. It was refreshing for me to have my other condition taken into account when we worked on a plan for recovery. Mr Sundaram saved my life........ until the operation the pain in my leg was more than I could bear in spite of the maximum pain killers....... I seriously considered su***de. After the operation all leg pain was gone.
