Our philosophy here at The Baby Journey is that good information, understanding and support are vital through your pregnancy. Every parent and baby is different and every journey will be unique. The Baby Journey offers an honest, realistic and friendly approach founded on our experiences as midwives - but equally important our experiences as mums.

A special gift for a new mama ♥️

I recently gave The Maternal Mindset Journal — created by one of our wonderful past clients — to a friend who has just welcomed her baby. It was beautifully wrapped which made it feel even more special.

At The Baby Journey, we know the importance of talking about and supporting both maternal and paternal mental health. A journal can be such a powerful tool — a space to process emotions, capture milestones, and navigate the beautiful (and sometimes overwhelming) transition into parenthood ⭐️

With three groups starting their antenatal course this week, we’ve been thinking about how you might feel before session one…

💭 A bit nervous, apprehensive, excited, tense, shy

And then how you might feel 𝙖𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙧 session one…

💭 Relieved, at ease, informed, and excited for the rest of the course

This is all completely normal 🙌🏼

You can really feel it in the room — the whole group starts to relax as the session goes on. By the end, the nerves have melted away and everyone’s chatting, smiling, and connecting.

And, as your lovely feedback shows, most people leave feeling really happy they joined 😊

If you’re starting soon and feel a little wobbly — that’s okay. We’ve got you 🤍
