The Cheltenham Three Peaks Challenge is a 22-mile walk that offers participants the chance to embark on an exhilarating and challenging adventure through Gloucestershire’s most picturesque landscapes, all while conquering the three tallest peaks in the county: Crickley, Leckhampton and Cleeve Hill. This event not only raises essential funds for our charity but also gives us the opportunity to connect with new people and share our story with you all.

🙌I did it!

113 Middle Distance Triathlon done - in and around the beauty of South Cerney! (Half Ironman 70.3 distance) completed in 6hrs 6 mins - I was aiming for 6hrs 30 to 7hrs so super pleased.

Swim was absolutely petrifying to start with (I hadn’t quite made it to practice in the lake, the Cheltenham Lido had been too handy) but after a while I realised I had to crack on and get my head under for freestyle and get in the mix of lots of 🏊 🏊‍♀️’s or be doing breaststroke with my head out of the water for a very long time! Still managed to complete swim in 45 mins which was my target - albeit going off in odd directions and the breaststroke starter!

Bike was epic! I’ve been training hard on my bike - massive thank you’s to all who have been helping me! 90km in 3 hours - 15 mins quicker than the race plan.

The run - oh my goodness - this was sooooo hard. I’ve not been able to run due to injury and was saving my legs for this event - this really made me realise that I can’t ever underestimate the power of following the training plan - I somehow completed the half marathon distance in 2hrs 9mins.

Today was made so so so special by the support I had from my family and friends - completely blown away. Thank you 🙏

Don’t think I’ll be able to walk tomorrow 🙈❤️

Off to book the next one….and no, that won’t be the full Ironman…yet! X

I did it!

113 Middle Distance Triathlon done in and around the beauty of South Cerney! (Half Ironman 70.3 distance) completed in 6hrs 6 mins - I was aiming for 6hrs 30 to 7hrs so super pleased - and 15th placing in my age category!
