Our wonderful concoction of warm water, food colouring, glitter, more glitter and pva glue has turned into a mindfulness calm down jar.

A lovely activity to do (and if you don't want the mess you can use glitter glue) just watching the movement of the water and the glitter can be very soothing 🤍

Shine is a local charity who support women with PND and the challenges of motherhood 💚 I know the women who run and lead this charity personally; they are a special bunch. To have a space that is non-judgmental, to be able to be with other women who 'get it', to be offered a warm drink and a space to talk is invaluable for so many.

Our first Gloucester Shine Drop-In Session of 2025 is tomorrow (7th January) 😁

For mums struggling with their emotional wellbeing we offer a peer support group every Tuesday.

⏰ 10 am - 11.30 am
📌 GDA, Colin Road, Barnwood, Gloucester, GL3 3HG

On hand are two peer support workers - Hannah and Kirsty - basically mums who have been there and experienced their own emotional wellbeing struggles.

We also have a table of mindfulness crafts and refreshments available for the mums, and toys available to entertain the little ones.

Please note that tomorrow we will be in the Honeyford Room at GDA, rather than the Main Hall.

Winston's Wish provide some really lovely ideas for ways to process grief. These are three that I use with my young (and even not so young) clients. I'm often found raiding my craft cupboard for bits and bobs to use.

Recently my clients have made button trees (each button representing a person or memory) memory bracelets and story stones. It's nice for the YP to have something tangible to take from our work together 🤍
