I’m a Certified Therapeutic Play Practitioner with a deep passion for supporting children and their families through the transformative power of play. I’m currently working towards completing my Postgraduate Diploma in Play Therapy, and by Summer 2025, I will be a fully Certified Play Therapist. Before embarking on this journey, I spent 16 years as a primary school teacher, including 8 years as a
Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO). During this time, I gained extensive experience working with children with diverse needs, supporting families, and advocating for inclusion. On a personal level, I have lived experience of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), particularly autism, PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance), and ADHD. This insight fuels my dedication to creating safe, understanding, and nurturing spaces for every child I work with. My mission is to combine my professional expertise with my personal experiences to offer tailored therapeutic support that empowers children, builds their confidence, and helps them thrive. From September 2025 I will specialize in offering mobile play therapy services to schools in the Gloucester area. My approach is flexible and designed to meet the needs of children within their familiar school environment, minimizing disruptions to their daily routines. Through Play Therapy sessions, I help children explore their emotions, develop coping strategies, and build resilience. My services are tailored to support children facing challenges such as anxiety, low self-esteem, difficulties with relationships, trauma, or SEND-related struggles. By collaborating closely with schools, staff, and families, I ensure that every child I work with receives a holistic, compassionate, and personalized level of care.
