I have been helping people journey deep inside themselves to find an inner peace for over ten years now. The relationship between seeing the beauty and perfection of each individual’s story, and the One movement of Life in and out of which that story weaves, is one of compassion and love. I am deeply blessed to be able to work in this way, and I have met many courageous souls who have trusted me to walk with them through their awakening.
My own journey began during a busy career as an actress, when I was introduced to the teachings of J. Krishnamurti. This began an inner questioning about the nature of life and my place in it.
However I soon realised that this spiritual questioning was not addressing the many emotional difficulties I had or the patterns of behaviour I was unwittingly stuck in. I needed to understand myself deeply before I could contemplate freedom from that self.
Over the following years I tried various different therapies, all of which helped in some way to access and make sense of the intense emotions which I had blocked or hidden. But in all the therapies there was no talk of total freedom, and so I went back to the study of Eastern philosophy, this time with a sense of inner connection and awareness.
After exploring various different teachers of enlightenment, including Nisagadatta Maharaj, Gurdjieff and Eckarte Tolle, I began to gradually let go of the strong ego driving me to succeed as an actress and so stepped back from the profession.
The next 18 years was spent parenting my and my wonderful husband’s two sons, which introduced its own challenges. Through the daily struggles of motherhood, I learned the deep humility of being not-separate from the human struggle of existence.
Constantly returning to the simple directness of Krishnamurti’s teaching, however, eventually brought a powerful transformation of consciousness.
Gradually I began to speak to people about inner freedom and the relationship we have to ourselves and our own stories. My philosophy is a practical one. Having walked through my own limiting story to a personal freedom, I am able to listen with great clarity to others, seeing ways in which people trap themselves in their thoughts, beliefs, memories or emotions, and helping them move through these to a sense of their own perfection.
Once an individual is free from their story it allows an exploration of Mankind’s relationship to the brain, to time and thought, to the Timeless and to love. Then the exciting, liberating shift of perspective to total Freedom becomes possible.
