👐Ahead of national day tomorrow, we are busy maintaining our defibrillators and so far this week is ZOLL Medical Corporation week with Public Hearts ZOLL AEDPLUS Fully Automatic defibrillators.

ℹ️ This is Defib No 32 on Tivoli St in Cheltenham, sited on one the very few non listed buildings in this beautiful area. It's been here since 30 September 2022, nearly three years and has been accessed a number of times during its life already.

We are delighted to invite you to attend our upcoming event: Cancer Prevention - Screening & Awareness for Communities.

📆 Tuesday 28th October 2025
⏰ 12:30pm - 2:30pm
🏫 Gas Green Youth & Community Centre (Baker Street, Cheltenham)

Our very special programme brings together healthcare colleagues, specialist clinicians, and local cancer charities who are keen to share information about Cancer Prevention, including:

- Healthcare inequalities data and how we can reduce the rate of late stage cancers and cancer deaths in under-represented communities
- National cancer screening programmes and how to participate in them
- A discussion on the definition of good cancer care from the perspective of a Consultant Clinical Oncologist.

Community volunteers will lead groups who need translation in Gujarati, Bengali and Arabic.

Thanks to Thomas Stebel-Jones and Defib Store Ltd for their ongoing support with nearly 40 Zoll Medical U K AEDPLUS defibs in and around Cheltenham and Gloucester, it's vital we maintain a stock of kit and a rota of pad and battery expiry dates.
With this in mind, Greg Godfrey-Williams and I are looking at Octobers pad renewals as we are currently The Circuit Guardians of7️⃣5️⃣ of Public Hearts 1️⃣0️⃣7️⃣ defibs; and we also support are wider Defib Family with guidance and support.

The defib market is vast and even more so when it comes to the parts , so here's the basics for this defib's pads:

⛔️ ZOLL Stat padz II are out of stock
✅️ ZOLL CPR-D padz and ZOLL Stat padz are readily available.

Replacement electrode pads are vital accessories to ensure your device will always be operational in an emergency.

We always recommend having at least one set of replacement pads to hand should your first set be used in a rescue.

The Meadow Cafe Old Bath Rd, Cheltenham GL53 7FF

This is a very busy road covering both heavy traffic, regular footfall and a park with plenty of social and sports activities, and it's just down the road from East Glos Club, Cheltenham - Tennis, padel, squash, racketball club connecting the defib network along Old Bath Road - which is accessed regularly.

+ Installation date is set for a week on Saturday and then we ll be cracking on with Defib No 109, also in a highly strategic location.

Watch this space, keep checking defibs to ensure they're rescue ready
