Hey y’all lets talk…FOOD 😋
I LOVE food, does anyone else? However has food ever been a subject that you have felt triggered by?
Have any thoughts like these crossed your mind while making food choices? Such as:
‘I’ve been good today, I deserve this’
‘I can’t have that, it’s not good for me’
‘I don’t eat stuff like that…ever’
‘Has it got sugar in it, I don’t eat sugar’
‘If a have some, I’ll eat the whole packet’
Thoughts or language like this can possibly create food restrictions in your mind. Labelling certain foods as good or bad could start having you put them on a restriction list.
Even though some foods are more nutritional beneficial for you, all food can have a purpose and a place in your diet.
The way the mind works, sometimes when we put something off limits, we almost want it way more 😅
So prevent the restrict-binge cycle and figure out what foods you would like to eat in moderation.
Nothing is off the table and take a look at your mindset as you eat these foods. What emotions arise while you eat? Are you eating mindfully? Be aware of the thoughts arising.
Everyone’s moderation is going to be different. Everyone’s take on a healthy balanced diet is also going to be different. There is no one size fits all.
There are healthy foods but also a healthy moderation of all foods
So take time to figure out what works for you and find a healthy, balanced diet that you can maintain helping you thrive.
If you accidentally eat something with too much sugar/fat/carbs/calories etc. it is not the end of the world
Be ok with food, be aware, accept and enjoy your food with the moderation that suits you, your life and lifestyle
P.S the tropical French toast is delicious 😋
