🌿Shiatsu - Gentle bodywork to make your body work better 🌿
You may be new here and you may not know what Shiatsu is or entails - here's what's involved in this beautiful practise:
✨ Why Shiatsu feels different (and powerful):
It doesn’t rely on force or deep pressure. The touch is gentle, considered, responsive — often so subtle you don’t initially believe anything is “happening,” yet something shifts deeply within.
It works while you remain fully clothed, using supportive holds, stretches, rhythmic pressure, and stillness to coax the body to let go.
Because it works on your energy (often called “Qi” or “Ki”) as well as physical tissues, it can encourage blocked patterns to soften and release.
💫 How shiatsu eases pain — and soothes the emotions too:
Chronic aches, stiffness, tension: by helping release muscular and connective tightness, shiatsu can restore freer movement and reduce pain.
Stress, overwhelm, emotional tension: your nervous system is invited to relax into safety. Emotions you’ve held in your body often melt or shift — not forced, but welcomed to transform.
Supporting you through life transitions: hormone changes, overwhelm in work/life, emotional transitions — shiatsu can act as a reset, a pause, a space of care.
🙏 What you might feel after a session:
Lighter, freer, less “held.”
More clarity, calm, openness to what’s next.
Sometimes mild achiness the next day (your body responding, recalibrating) — a gentle sign that change is occurring.
