We’re so excited that Hector, our little lion cub is part of the amazing Lions At Large Trail! There are 32 big lions, and 54 lion cubs to be spotted around Cheltenham and Gloucester 🦁

Our boy has pride of place in John Lewis on Cheltenham High Street, so do take a selfie with him and post it below if you’re in the store!

We had a wonderful afternoon at our annual music festival, WentFest! Big thanks to our wellbeing team who coordinated the event including weeks of planning and preparing decorations with residents, also the kitchen team, care staff and Tony and Tom who manned the BBQ.

Many thanks also to Amanda Jane Vintage and Paul Keyes Entertainment for the music and apetito Care Home Meals for the scrumptious desserts.

We had a wonderful trip on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway last week from Cheltenham Racecourse to Toddington.

It was extra special that some of our residents’ families could join us as well  for the journey and lunch at the station cafe at Toddington.

A sunny Father’s Day with some of our residents relaxing with beers and snacks in the sunny garden.

We were pleased to welcome Cameron Thomas MP to Wentworth Court this afternoon. Cameron was keen to learn about the ‘Wentworth approach’ to care, and how we specialise in supporting people living with mid to later stage dementia.

Cameron spoke with General Manager Gez Ossai and Head of Community Engagement, Rachel Jones about the positives of working in social care and how governments can better support the sector. This is particularly pertinent ahead of national Carers Week,  highlighting the work of unpaid and professional carers.

Cameron also enjoyed a tour and met some residents and staff.
