Today , I gifted myself a mini Red Tent. - in a blue gazebo 😅 and look which card I pulled ❤️👀
This time wasn’t planned – peri-menopause makes my cycles irregular and unpredictable – last cycle 112 days (!) but the universe handed me a clear, quiet day on Day 2, and I chose to honor it. To rest. To drop in. To remember.
The Red Tent is an ancient practice – a sacred space where women would gather during their menstrual cycles to rest, reflect, and connect. It was a place of power, not shame. A sacred pause, not a burden.
We live in a world that doesn’t make room for that rhythm – it expects us to be linear, productive, and always “on.” But our bodies move in cycles, not straight lines. And when we honor that – even in small ways – we reclaim something essential.
When we allow ourselves to slow down, especially during menstruation, we give our bodies space to heal, to reset, to whisper wisdom we often miss in the noise. That rest ripples outward – it makes us more present, more whole, more grounded in who we truly are.
To every woman navigating irregular cycles, shifting hormones, changing seasons – you don’t have to wait for the “perfect” moment to honor your body. Create space where you can. Even a few deep breaths can be a powerful act of self-love.
When we connect to our cycles, we connect to the earth, to each other, to something ancient and deeply needed in this fast-paced world.
And in doing so, we don’t just serve ourselves – we serve everyone.
