At Trent Valley Crematorium, we are proud to be part of a community that quietly supports one another through every stage of loss. If you are struggling, please remember you don’t have to face it alone — there are local resources, people, and spaces here to help.

To offer a moment of calm and reflection, our chapel will be open for anyone wishing to visit on Thursday 26th March from 2.30pm.

Whether you’d like a few minutes of peaceful silence, a space to think, or simply somewhere to breathe, you are warmly welcome.

We were honoured to be there for this wonderful occasion. Its a well deserved award to truly inspiring charity and a lady with a beautiful gentle soul. We are prout that we have supported through 2023/24 and will continue to support wherever we can.

Its founder has been described as a "fairy godmother"🧚❤️

Me&dee, which operates from a small office in Derbyshire, offers support to people who have been diagnosed with rare illnesses and potentially life-limiting conditions.

💛Remembrance doesn’t end when the service is over 🕊.

It lives on in the quiet moments — the visits, the reflections, the love that continues. Our Memorial Gardens offer a peaceful place to return to throughout the year.

Whether it’s a rose planted in their honour or a name held beautifully in our Book of Remembrance, there are many meaningful ways to keep their legacy alive.

From 1st April our grounds are open until 8:00pm throughout the summer months for quiet contemplation.

Behind every service at Trent Valley is a dedicated team committed to dignity, compassion, and care. From our groundskeepers who lovingly tend our 11-acre site, to our office staff who process all details for services — every role matters, and every person is here for you.

This week, the sunshine has brought a burst of activity across the grounds, and Daryl has been especially busy making the most of the good weather. Whether it’s keeping the grassy areas immaculate, building memorial spaces for families, ensuring our gardens remain a peaceful place for reflection - and even helping serve tea and coffee at memorial events, his hard work helps maintain the tranquillity and gives the support that families rely on.

🌿 FAQ Friday: “Is There a Time Limit to Arrange a Memorial Garden?”

Absolutely not.
At Trent Valley Crematorium, there is no time limit at all on when you choose to arrange a memorial for your loved one.

Grief doesn’t follow a schedule, and neither should your decisions about remembrance. Whether it’s months or years after a passing, you are always welcome to explore our memorial gardens when the moment feels right for you and your family.

🌼 Do I need to have held the service at Trent Valley Crematorium?
Not at all.
Our memorial gardens are open to everyone, regardless of where the funeral or cremation took place. Since we opened in July 2018, many families who held services elsewhere have chosen Trent Valley as the place where they feel most connected, peaceful, and supported.

🌼 A Heartfelt Thank You 🌼

To everyone who joined us today for our Mother’s Day Memorial Service, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your presence made the day truly meaningful, comforting, and filled with love.

As we gathered together, we lit candles in cherished memory of all mums—a gentle glow symbolising their lasting light in our lives. It was a beautiful moment of reflection, unity, and shared remembrance.

We shared tea, cake and conversation, supporting one another with kindness and warmth. And as each of you left with daffodils in memory of Mum, it felt like a small but powerful reminder that love continues to bloom, even in moments of loss.

A special thank you to Karen Gratton for her help in preparing today’s service—your support and care made such a difference.

And congratulations to Sue - our winner of a beautiful Love Lock in Kingsmeade! 💛

Thank you all for honouring this day with us, for remembering with us, and for helping keep their memories shining brightly.
