Lovely feedback from a client in her 20's this morning:

"I've been having therapy sessions with Miricia for a couple of years now and I've had nothing but a positive experience! She's very warm and understanding and has helped me through a lot of struggles I've had with depression, anxiety, eating disorders and my time going to uni. She's also very open minded and creates a safe space for q***r people and neurodivergent people! Couldn't recommend more."

Sleep comes up a LOT in our parent one to one sessions 😴

And that is because it is one of the first things you will notice if your child is struggling with big emotions. It's the first thing usually when we as adults are finding things difficult. And it works the other way too right? When we have a rough night of sleep (or lack of!), then we are more likely to feel delicate the next day in terms of our emotional wellbeing.

Sleep for children can be a frightening time....they are 'leaving' their primary care giver for a prolonged period. And they know it! It feels uncomfortable for many children 😕 and for us too (we need space by this point, often!)

Building in connection on the lead up to this parting is really important to help relieve some of this discomfort. Remind them you will check on them regularly if needed and that the invisible string is still attached 🥰
