🍋 A Fragrance That Rekindled a Lifetime of Memories 💙
Sometimes the smallest gestures can bring back the biggest memories 💛
Our Field Care Supervisor, Karen, recently returned from her holiday with a thoughtful little gift for one of our clients — a beautiful lemon-shaped soap 🍋
The lemon-shaped soap is inspired by the famous citrus scents of coastal Italy 🍋 Its fresh fragrance is often associated with sunshine, seaside holidays, and happy memories of Mediterranean life.
What seemed like a simple gift became something truly special. Our client spent five wonderful years living in Chioggia, a charming fishing town on the Adriatic coast of Italy, where she worked in tourism and enjoyed the relaxed lifestyle, delicious food, sunny climate, walks along the beach, and swimming in the sea. She also travelled widely, including visits to Monte Carlo. 🇮🇹
The fresh lemon scent instantly brought back happy memories from her time in Italy and reminded us how meaningful even the smallest acts of kindness can be.
Karen even wrote a beautiful poem to accompany the gift:
I gave a gift. It was only small
A little soap, nothing more
With one smell of the lemony scent, it took her back to the place where many years were spent.
She closed her eyes and breathed in slowly, memories flooding back and she no longer feels quite so lonely.
Moments like these show that care is not just about support — it’s about connection, compassion, and helping people hold onto precious memories that mean so much to them 💙
