😯Only 20 miles from home, and it's taken 28 years of living in Derby to visit Bolsover Castle! A great place to visit, with so many rooms in the castle, each with their own themed artwork, and also home to the UK's earliest surviving indoor Riding School! 🐎

Visited with Lee and his parents on a fabulously sunny autumn weekend.

Oh, and a few pictures of fantastic meals at Nicco's, including Dubai Sundae which I shared with Lee, and The Joiners Arms, not sure if you can see the size of my suspended Yakatori Stick! 😋

☯️ Appreciation for Qigong as an internal energy art, with traditional Chinese medicine at its root, is not always understood when people first come to my classes. Usually they are looking for gentle physical exercise; sometimes they are seeking something more spiritual; and more often than not simply something that is relaxing.

🧬 Gradually, they discover that moving our Qi - our internal energy - can give us the synergy of physical, mental and emotional wellbeing, whether it is viewed as medicine, art or a practice and way of life!

🤩 Thank you for bringing your enthusiasm to both our workshops...playfulness to Five Animals Frolics...and a sense of tranquility and harmony to Daoyin-12 Step Health Qigong.

❤️ I loved that some of you were trying Qigong for the first time with me, whilst others were looking for a deeper understanding and refinement.

🐘 And I loved that some of you were experiencing Elephant Rooms venue for the first time, whilst others love it there so much you keep returning!

Living with any chronic illness can take a while to learn how to manage the condition in the most effective way. With ME/CFS "pace yourself" is the number one advice, but that's often easier said than done, and can prove to be frustrating, exhausting, and seemingly impossible. Imagine my delight when this student tells me she is successfully pacing herself with Health Qigong! Not only at weekly hour-long classes, but also the addition of half-day weekend workshops. Way to go, keep up the good pacing! 💪

💜 Sharing my sloe journey with you. It's the first time I have picked sloes, despite always walking past sloe bushes when I'm walking my dog!

👩🏻‍🌾 These sloes were picked from Uppderdown Meadow with the Elephant Rooms volunteers on the most glorious Sunday afternoon.

Probably a little too ripe to make into Sloe Olives, I am exploring other recipes, like Sloe Syrup, with the addition of ginger and cinammon stick for a bit of spice.

🍾 Sloe kombucha brewing is in progress.

🍸 I have tried a Sloe gin cocktail, plenty more variations to come, and also these rather more-ish Sticky Sloe & Nut/Seed Clusters!

Welcome to the world of Tai Chi and Qigong! And as much as I can try my best to explain it, the optimum way is to experience it for yourself, and amaze yourself at what you can do, how you can feel after just one session, and how you can improve your mental and physical wellbeing week upon week! 📈

💖 Celebrating 10 months with Evie in our family, and look at her feeling pretty in her new harness! Over these 10 months, we have gradually transitioned from extra-large to large, to medium sized harness, as her body weight and shape changes, and now we think we've found her "forever" harness, fitting comfortably and looking cute too, don't you think?! 💗🐶
