Last week, our chiropractor Ben had the pleasure of meeting with British Chiropractic Association board member Faye Deane and local MP Baggy Shanker.
They discussed the important role chiropractic care can play in supporting the NHS and explored how chiropractors might collaborate as allied healthcare professionals to help ease the growing demand on NHS services. 🤩
Last week, BCA Board Member, Faye Deane and Member, Benjamin Roberts from Cedar Tree Chiropractic met with Baggy Shanker MP to explore how chiropractic can support musculoskeletal health in UK communities.
The meeting built on the recent Westminster Hall debate on MSK conditions and offered a chance to:
🔹 Discuss the value of chiropractic care in tackling MSK challenges
🔹 Highlight findings from the York Health Economics Consortium on how chiropractors can help reduce NHS pressure
🔹 Explore ways to raise broader awareness and how MPs could hear directly from chiropractors in their constituencies
📍As MSK demand continues to rise, there’s growing potential for collaborative, community-based care. This is part of our ongoing work to ensure chiropractic is recognised as a key part of the MSK solution - in policy, in communities, and in healthcare strategy.
MP Shanker’s support and genuine interest are a positive signal: chiropractic is being heard.
Stay tuned for next steps as we engage further with policymakers and our members.
