We're an award winning boutique photography studio based in the beautiful Darley Abbey Mills, Derby. Our team have over a decade of experience in portraiture, and specialise in Pregnancy, Newborns, Babies, Children, Family and Boudoir photography. LOCATION:

Only 5mins from the main City Centre of Derby, Mackney Photography is based in the beautiful English heritage site in their purpose built photography studio. Inspired by our experiences in London and New York – the studio offers the perfect combination of high ceilings for better lighting, picturesque outdoor park locations just seconds away and an abundance of ideas to really capture you and your family. This photoshoot was one that came from the heart. Little Louie is the beautiful new baby boy of my best friend, Alicia, and being able to photograph him felt incredibly special.

Louie is like a nephew to me, and while every newborn session is given the same care, love, and attention… this one definitely tugged at the heartstrings. 💛

Sleepy, snuggly, and completely adorable, Louie filled the studio with cuteness from start to finish.

Capturing these precious early moments for someone so close to me was an absolute honour, and a reminder of just how magical these tiny beginnings really are.

From the moment he arrived, he had us all smiling right back 💛

These two timeless black & white portraits of Max and Sam say it all.

The first shows a beautiful moment of big brother Max wrapping his arm around Sam, holding him close with the biggest smile. A snapshot of love, protection, and connection.

And then… my personal favourite 💛
The second image captures pure childhood joy.. the boys jumping up and down on our sofa, laughing and having the best time. Two very different moments, both equally important, and both telling their story perfectly.
