The wildflowers have returned at Coxbench Hall Residential Care Home - Derby. My particular favourite is the vipers bugloss, but the calendula also pack a punch.

These last few weeks I’ve also scattered some seeds from other wildflowers I’ve grown on site including bladder campion, honesty, red campion, poppies and mullein
It will just add to the seed bed, then nature will decide what she wants to display next season.

Welcoming Our New Care Manager: A Wonderful Start to a New Chapter

We’re delighted to officially welcome our new Care Manager, Louise, who joined our team just two weeks ago. In such a short time, she has already made a positive impact and settled in seamlessly with both the staff and residents.
Louise brings with her a wealth of experience in care management and a strong passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care. From her very first day, she’s shown exceptional leadership, kindness, and a genuine commitment to the wellbeing of everyone in our care.
In these first two weeks, Louise has taken the time to get to know the team, listen to residents, and understand the unique rhythms of our service. Colleagues have described her as approachable, proactive, and full of positive energy—exactly the kind of leader we’re proud to have.
She’s already begun implementing some fresh ideas to further enhance the support we offer, and her collaborative approach has been warmly received.
We’re excited to see what the future holds with Louise at the helm, and we’re confident her leadership will continue to strengthen our team and enrich the lives of those we care for.
Please join us in giving her a warm welcome and wishing her every success in her new role!

We are also welcoming friends and family to come and meet Louise at our “meet the manager” coffee morning. All relatives will receive an email about this, please let us know if you don’t receive this email

Caring for 35 years

Coxbench Hall is a beautiful Grade II listed Georgian Building in the heart of the Amber Valley. Being just 4 miles outside of Derby city centre, we have good transport links to local shopping and entertainment so it really is an ideal home to spend your later years.

The Hall is set in 4 acres of cultivated garden and woodland, it's a real hidden gem! We open the garden once a year to the public as part of the National Open Garden Scheme. The Residents can enjoy the garden throughout the year with a regular walking club and the chance to use those green -fingers in the raised bed areas. There are also seating areas.

All meals are prepared in-house with locally sourced produce. We have Activities happening daily, weekly entertainers, mystery trips on the Coxbench Minibus and with fabulous monthly themed dinners there really is something to suit everyone here.

To appreciate the truly special setting and atmosphere here at Coxbench Hall, you really must visit and see for yourself. We offer a complimentary day visit for any prospective Resident, join us for lunch, meet the friendly and professional Care Team and make some new friends. CQC rating GOOD (June 2018).
