Great time in Liverpool for 3 days at 2023 Podiatry Conference.Inspiring and informative, lectures, workshops and trade stands. Stayed at a lovely airbnb on the Wirral where I am from originally and met up with my auntie and cousin for a nice meal in the evening.

Should have gone to our annual conference in Liverpool in November instead had our first ever digital conference last week that was spread over 2 evenings and all day Saturday. Was really well done and informative, obviously missed the trade exhibition and meeting other colleagues though.The highlights for me were - The verrucae myth busting talk and advances in treatment for hard to heal venous leg ulcers- talking about the Huntleigh wound express which is thigh pump which simulates passive exercise to patients who are elderly, immobile or due to pain cannot exercise themselves and has had really impressive results in latest trials.

With the theme of the 2019 conference being that the health of the body and mind are strongly connected I thought I would mention local businesses, events or groups I have had a personal positive experience with.

Kedleston Hall trails ( 4th Sunday in month-although cancelled 24th November due to bad weather)- 5k or 10k non timed charity run for Derbyshire Mind and dogs are welcome
Spring Lakes, Pastures Lane Long Eaton. A new water sports and leisure centre . My son and I have been wake boarding on the cable system but there are many other activities available such as the aqua park, open water swimming, paddle boarding and pedalos.
