First Aid at Work (for equestrians) Course at David O’Meara Racing last week. We managed to fit the course around yard duties and the team were brilliant - 100% pass rate 🤩👍

Another First Aid for Equestrians Course completed and mentioned in the British Driving Society Magazine this month … 🤩

First Aid at Work (for equestrians) Courses and a 3hrs Community Course (not formalised but covering Emergency Life Support and Basic First Aid - from as little as £20 per person.
In a high risk environment- it’s a no brainer that you have some first aid knowledge.

It’s a LEGAL REQUIREMENT under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1981 to have First Aid cover at your place of work.

We can deliver courses AT your place of work to fit in with morning / afternoon duties and from only £20 per delegate.

Judy delivers the course at our yard and is very easy to work with, she is always very happy to work around our schedule, so that interruptions to the horses day are reduced and staff are still on site.
The courses are very well prepared and delivered with an interactive and inclusive approach and Judy brings all equipment needed - they are excellent value for money!

As a member of the British Driving Society and bringing on green horses, I have written a 3hrs First Aid for Carriage Drivers Course which covers accident scene management, triage, life support skills and first aid and some ideas around safety.
I have been instructing first aid at work, paediatric and community courses for over 20yrs, I am a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists and I instruct First Aid for Road Users courses on behalf of the Staffordshire Road Safety Partnership.
This First Aid for Equestrian Driving Course covers :-

Modules include Riding Gear
Riding Safety
Accident Scene Management
Triage
Emergency Services and Remote Scene considerations
The Unconscious Casualty
CPR and De-Fib use
Spinal and Neck Injury Management
Head Trauma Management
Catastrophic Bleeds
Soft Tissue Injuries
Fractures
Poisoning
Allergies
Temperature Extremes

That’s quite an intense 3hrs but all with be relevant and put into context around carriage driving and road use.

I come to your venue, assess and certify delegates and can offer support, post course, if required.
I have all relevant equipment to allow delegates the opportunity for hands on practice and aide memoir booklets can be made available.

I cover the whole of the UK and can deliver to suit your schedules.
