A new record for Derby Mountain Rescue Team

Happy New Year . Like a number of Mountain Rescue England and Wales teams across the country, 2025 was by far our busiest ever year with 99 callouts. A big thank you to all our sponsors, supporters, friends, followers, families, partner agencies etc. who have together made it possible for us to support our community. (More stats to come this week)

If you own a Heartsine (Stryker) 350P, 360P or 500P then please check your Pad-Paks lot number against the Stryker list below.

Stryker is conducting a voluntary recall as they have determined that some Pad-Paks may be rendered inoperable due to depleted battery cells. As a result, affected Pad-Packs could potentially fail to power the unit if needed for use.
There have been no adverse cases reported.

Paediatric - infant / baby chest compressions has been a topic of debate on courses for a while and new update to how we do chest compressions is now to use our thumb on top of each other on middle of the chest between the ni***es with our hands around the baby (see link). ER council members also said heel of one hand could also be a benefit.
