⚠️ Rising cases of meningitis in Kent are cause for concern. Knowing the signs could save a life.

Early symptoms include high temperature, headache, vomiting, and muscle pain. Serious signs can include stiff neck, sensitivity to light, confusion, or a rash that doesn’t fade when pressed.

💡 Trust your instincts — if you’re concerned, seek medical advice immediately.

📢 Parkfields Surgery: Proposed Patient Registration Change

From April 2026, all Hollybrook Medical Centre sites may move to a single shared patient list.

✅ This is an administrative change only – your care and preferred site won’t change

✅ Same doctors, nurses, staff, services, and appointment availability

✅ All sites will remain open

The shared list will simplify processes, reduce duplication, and free up staff time to focus on patient care. Transfers, if approved, would happen automatically around June 2026.

💡 We want your feedback by 14 April 2026:

📝 Feedback forms available at reception

All responses will be carefully reviewed before a final decision is made.

📢 Proposed Update to Patient Registrations at Parkfields Surgery

From April 2026, we’re proposing an administrative change to bring all Hollybrook Medical Centre sites onto a single patient registration list.

What this means for you:

✅ Administrative change only – your clinical care won’t change

✅ Continue attending your preferred surgery site

✅ Appointment availability and services remain the same

✅ Same doctors, nurses and staff at each location

✅ All sites will stay open

Currently, Parkfields Surgery has a separate registration list. Moving to a shared list will simplify processes, reduce duplication, and allow staff to focus more on patient care.

Transfers, if approved, would happen automatically around June 2026.

💡 We want your feedback by 14 April 2026:

📢 Protecting Appointments for All Patients.

In January alone, 267 appointments were missed across our four practice sites, nearly 13 appointments every single day that could have been offered to another patient who needed care.

These included GP, nurse and physiotherapy appointments, many of them same-day slots.

When a patient does not attend and does not let us know, that appointment is unfortunately lost.

To ensure fair access for everyone, if a patient misses three appointments without a reasonable explanation, removal from our patient list may be considered, meaning they would need to register with another GP practice.

We understand that health issues, caring responsibilities, and unexpected circumstances can affect attendance, so every case is reviewed individually and with care.

Cancelling is quick and easy: if you are unable to attend, please call the practice and select Option 1 to leave a cancellation message.

This allows us to offer your appointment to someone else who needs it. Thank you for helping us protect appointments for all patients in our community.

Thank you.
