Simple Games, Big Smiles 🎉

This game reminded us that sometimes the simplest ideas bring the most laughter! We had so much fun with a game using a pool noodle, some string, and a ball—trying to knock balls off paper cups. It sounds easy… but the giggles said otherwise! 😄

We had a wonderful time yesterday celebrating St Patrick’s Day! ☘️💚

Our day was filled with fantastic live music, plenty of creative colouring, and lots of smiles all around. A special thank you to our talented cook Lisa, who prepared a delicious Irish dinner for everyone to enjoy — it truly made the day extra special!

🐾 A Paws-itively Wonderful Visit at The Firs 🐾

Today we had another lovely visit from our wonderful friends at Pause with Paws, and as always it brought so many smiles to our residents’ faces. The dogs provide comfort, companionship and plenty of joy, and it’s always a highlight of the day when they come to see us.

These special visits have such a positive impact on our residents. The gentle nature of the dogs helps create a calm and happy atmosphere, and there is nothing better than seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter they bring.

One of our lovely residents who prefers to stay in her room especially enjoys these visits. Even though she chooses the comfort of her own space, the dogs still bring companionship and brighten her day when they pop in to see her. It’s a beautiful reminder of how powerful these moments of connection can be. 🐶💛

A huge thank you to Pause with Paws for continuing to share their amazing dogs with us – we are always so grateful for your visits.

💐 Happy Mother’s Day from The Firs 💐

Today we’re celebrating all the wonderful ladies at The Firs. Mother’s Day is not only about mums, but also the amazing aunties, stepmothers, grandmothers, friends, and all the special women who have shared their love, care, and guidance over the years.

To make the day extra special, we surprised our ladies with a “Mum” biscuit and a personalised card, which brought lots of smiles around the home. 💖

We’re so grateful for the incredible women in our home and hope everyone is having a lovely day filled with kindness and celebration.

There’s nothing our ladies love more than a good game of bingo! Today we had lots of laughs, plenty of excitement, and a few lucky winners along the way. 🎲

Today we spent a lovely afternoon getting ready for Mother’s Day by doing some beautiful flower arranging. Our wonderful ladies did an amazing job creating colourful bouquets, and the room was filled with smiles and laughter. 💐

Everything is looking lovely and we’re all ready to celebrate the big day together!
