This client joined The Workshop Derby back in 2016, unsure if they’d enjoy woodwork — but now it’s one of their favourite parts of the week.

He’s learned how to safely use hand tools and follow step-by-step instructions. This week, he upcycled a cherished family chopping board: sanding it down, adding a new edge profile, and giving it a new lease of life that will last for generations to come.
(And yes — he was very proud of it!)

What matters most? The confidence and calm it brings — every session is a chance to build more than just a project.
