New clients - deposits and cancellation fees.

I’m so sorry to have to do this but
Unfortunately I have had 2 clients this week, who booked their next appointment for 6 months time but quite clearly had forgotten when I turned up at their homes🤷♀️
Text message reminders are sent out via Fresha to the contact number given in advance - please look out for these and if you are unable to honour your appointment just let me know - there is no cancellation fee if cancelled up to 48 hours in advance, after this a £30 fee is payable - (a payment link will be sent for cancellation payments, if not paid no further appointments will be honoured).
This has been a loss to me of £130 + fuel costs this week so far which I just cannot afford to lose.
So unfortunately now I have made the decision to introduce a deposit scheme for all advanced bookings - anything booked further ahead than 4 weeks will now require to pay a £30 non refundable deposit upon booking.
This will then be taken off the total cost once treatment has been provided.
Appointments will not be honoured until the deposit has been received.
This is to cover my costs (fuel, time, wages etc)
(This is for new clients only booking their 2nd + follow up appointment ).
I always advise my clients to only book ear wax removal if/ when they have a problem or can feel
Their ears need clearing - so if you have an awful memory like me 😂 or just don’t keep a note of dates and appointments, please just call and make an appointment as and when needed - this will save any embarrassment for both of us and losses to my business.
I currently don’t take deposits on bookings as I have built my business out of mutual respect and trust but unfortunately this may have to change.
I get it - life is busy, we all forget things and make mistakes but Please look after us small businesses or you just might lose us altogether.
