This afternoon at Springwood, residents gathered for our Autumn-themed Big September Quiz and what a wonderful afternoon it was! 🧡✨

The quiz was filled with laughter, teamwork, and plenty of fun facts. A real highlight was the 40s & 50s music round, which sparked lots of smiles, toe-tapping, and even a bit of singing along 🎶💃🕺.

To top it all off, our winning team - Sheila, June, Rita and Frances - were treated to chocolates, handed out by our little helper Annabelle, who brought even more joy to the afternoon. 🍫

A huge well done to our quiz champions – and thank you to everyone who joined in to make it such a special event. 🏆👏

Tonight our lovely residents are settling in with sherry, wine and plenty of snacks as we get ready to watch the National Television Awards! 🍷🍪

The big debate is on… 💃 Strictly Come Dancing (Hilary’s favourite – she was once a tap dancer herself!) VS 📺 Emmerdale (Judith’s pick, as she loves her soaps!).

It’s so special seeing everyone share their favourites and join in the fun – we can’t wait to see who wins tonight! 🏆💖

I’m so excited to announce and introduce Gemma… Springwood’s Activities Co-Ordinator! 🌟

“I’m really excited to be joining Springwood as your new Activities Coordinator.
I’ve spent the last 20 years working as an English teacher, and now I’m looking forward to bringing that love of creativity, fun, and conversation into our time together here.
I can’t wait to get to know each of you, hear about interests, and plan activities that we can all enjoy. Most of all, I hope to make our days a little more special and full of laughter.”

Ron has been working extra hard these past few weeks on a 1000 piece jigsaw, and look how amazing it is! 🌆 Jigsaw puzzles are great for the elderly because they keep the mind active, improve memory, support coordination, and bring relaxation and enjoyment to the day. Well Done Ron!🌟
