VE Day at Springwood 🇬🇧❤️
Today we celebrated with a traditional wartime-inspired menu of corned beef pie, mash, cabbage and carrots for lunch, followed by peaches and evaporated milk for pudding.
This afternoon we enjoyed entertainment from the Golden Girls, singing wartime classics, before finishing the day with a traditional ploughman’s tea, trifle, and this wonderful patriotic sponge cake baked by our talented cook Pauline. 👩🍳🍰
A lovely day of music, memories and celebration together. 🇬🇧
