Different backgrounds. Shared purpose. We've had such a reaction from our people wanting to mark Celebrate Diversity Month, we're going to share some now and some next week.

Our stories may start in different places, shaped by culture, language, and experience, but they come together in something bigger. Diversity isn’t just about what makes us different; it’s about what we build together because of it.

When we listen, learn, and uplift each other, we create stronger communities, better ideas, and a future that reflects all of us.

Here’s to embracing every voice, every perspective, and every path that leads us forward, together.🤗

It's Patient Experience Week and we'd like to share this lovely message from one of the patients being cared for by our Community Virtual Ward (CVW) in Derbyshire.

"The virtual ward looked after me from home whilst I was being treated with IV antibiotics, they've been supportive and enabled me to submit observations myself. The whole team were always friendly, professional and gave me clear introductions and instructions whilst caring for me."

Ensuring patients can be looked after at home where possible and taking control of their own condition is part of the NHS Long Term Plan and so important to us.

We're delighted that our CVW is making the difference to hundreds of patients with us across Derbyshire.

🌟Celebrating our people. Strengthening our communities. 🌟

At DHU Healthcare, our people are at the core of everything we do, delivering care that creates a lasting impact in the communities we serve.

Through our People Excellence Awards, we recognise colleagues who bring our CARE values to life.

This month, we’re proud to celebrate Paris, one of our Practice Managers, at Bowling Green Surgery.

Nominated by her colleague, Paris stands out for her dedication, positivity, and the difference she makes.

As part of her award, Paris has chosen to donate her £100 DHU donation to LOROS Hospice. LOROS provides vital end-of-life care and support to patients and their families across Leicestershire and Rutland.

By championing this cause, Paris is extending our CARE values beyond the workplace helping to deliver compassionate care where it’s needed most and reinforcing our commitment to social impact.

👏 Congratulations Paris and thank you for all you do at DHU.

🌟Celebrating our people. Strengthening our communities.🌟

At DHU Healthcare, our people are at the core of everything we do, delivering care that creates a lasting impact in the communities we serve.

Through our People Excellence Awards, we recognise colleagues who bring our CARE values to life.

This month, we’re proud to celebrate Gilmara, our Virtual Ward Co-ordinator.

Nominated by her colleagues, Gilmara stands out for her dedication, positivity, and the real difference she makes every day. Her support for both patients and colleagues helps create a truly compassionate and collaborative environment.

As part of her award, Gilmara has chosen to donate her £100 DHU donation to Cancer Research UK. Cancer Research UK funds life-saving research and supports people affected by cancer across the UK.

By championing this cause, Gilmara is extending our CARE values beyond the workplace, helping to deliver compassionate support where it’s needed most and reinforcing our commitment to social impact.

👏 Congratulations Gilmara and thank you for all you do at DHU.

We're supporting World Immunisation Week with a reminder to all to ensure you keep up with your recommended vaccines.

Whether it's covid, measles, mumps, rubella and chickenpox, whooping cough for your children or RSV, immunisation is an important part of staying healthy and reducing the risk of illness - particularly amongst those with underlying health conditions.

Of course they are a personal choice and please be respectful of an individual's right to make that choice - if you would like to know more about vaccinations, this NHS page contains a wealth of information...
